We took our pet who couldn't walk to VERC, but was told to go there ONLY for 1 test from our regular Vet. When we got there, we were talked into the whole program, because he said he wasn't available until Monday. Being in distress over our beloved dog's condition, we agreed, only because the Dr. agreed to personally watch our dog & I could call anytime & he would be available, so we trusted him. After 3 calls, with a response, he is "not available", he finally called me back at midnight, stating our dog was fine.
But he lied to me; the whole staff lied to us. The report came out to our VET that our dog "cried out" at night. It was horrible. We trusted them. They had a fudiciary obligation to be truthful with us & let us know our dog was crying out when I called 3 times! In addition, they gave him oxygen, obviously because in trauma; & told us he was fine.
It was apparent they were more interested in running the bill up in the thousands. Tests were repeated that our own Vet had done. When we told them we were picking our dog up in an hour because we weren't getting any answers, suddenly the test- not available until Monday-was suddenly done. It was all a waste of time, a horrible experience & a nightmare for our dog.
