Last week one of the major TV channels, either abc or cbs did an expose about this very subject. They puchased underwear from 10 major stores. If I remember correctly, of the 10, there were 3 that allowed them to return the items. Victoria's secret and macy's were the 2 major ones. The TV channel REMOVED the sales tags YET the 3 STILL allowed them to return the items. The channel marked the underwear with 2 dots on the MFG's tags and went back later and found the items WITH NEW TAGS, back on the shelves and racks for resale. Making matters WORSE, the channel STAINED some of the items with olive oil, yet the companies still accepted them back and attempted to resale them. When the corporate offices were contacted, they said that sales associates needed "retraining" in return policies. Yeah right. The TV channel's suggestion was to make sure and wash everything before wearing.

First, did you not look at the items before you purchased them??? If the stain was obvious when you "pulled out my brand new tags attached underwear," shouldn't the stain have been obvious when you purchased them?
