Vitamin Advocates Becky Gould theft, fraud, breach of contract Modesto, California
I was contacted by Becky Gould, the owner of Vitamin Advocates (vitaminadvocates.com) to perform some simple web design tasks. Once we agreed upon the work to be performed and the compensation that was going to be remitted, I began work.
I had initially asked the owner, Becky Gould, to remit the initial deposit by simply making a deposit into my checking account. She began to come up with excuses as to why she could not do this, and so I settled for an electronic draft that was not delivered for another week. During this time, I set out to perform the work that I had been contracted to do.
By the end of the week of 5/4/2012, I had made significant progress, and she conveyed to me that she was pleased with the changes that I had made. I received a check for the amount of $640.00 on Saturday, May 5th. When I attempted to deposit the check, I found out that she had put a stop-payment on the check. I then immediately contacted Becky Gould of vitaminadvocates.com to ask her why she had done so.
According to Becky Gould, because I did not inform her that I didn't work on weekends (and a myriad of other weak excuses) that this was sufficient excuse to terminate the project and put a stop payment on the check. As it turns out, she kept the work that I performed for her, and I was out not only the money for the deposit, but also the additional time that I'd put in fixing other issues left behind by her previous web designer.
It became quite apparent to me that she never had any intention of honoring her agreement. I'm out over $1,200.00 of work time because this person is an unscrupulous cheapskate who obviously does not care about the energy that others put into their work, or about work ethics, morality or breach of contract.

I have known Becky Gould for at least ten years. We became friends because our kids went
to the same high school. We've worked on projects together, enjoyed birthdays and even
family dinners. She is the most big hearted, generous and caring person I know. She works
extremely hard and has 2 businesses even in spite of many health issues.
She has hired many people from time to time to help her in her business. Not once have I heard
a complaint. She has always been honest and paid in a timely manor. She's been known to go
over board in paying or thanking someone never would she try to not pay someone what was
owed or be dishonest.
Around the April, May time frame I think it was she wanted to make her website look more
professional and searched until she found a sharp web designer. He wanted money right away
and didn't seem to do much. Wanted $1200. in total I think it was and didn't do very much to
the site just bigger pictures at the top. After 3 days of working on it the weekend came and Becky
called me freaking out because her site was down ! not even working! She called him and he
refused to help her, said he didn't work weekends. Becky had just paid him half of the amount
and started to feel very uneasy and stopped payment on the check.
He became very Angry and threatened to ruin her business by complaining on line and anything else he could think of. Becky decided to talk it through with him and give another chance., It soon became obvious the site was having problems and he was very unreasonable. So Becky decided to pay him and be done with him. He didn't deserve a penny but she paid him any way. Then she had to pay another guy to clean up his mess. So I just wanted everyone to know Becky is someone you can always trust in business. Her products are also amazing !

I have been purchasing products from Vitamin Advocates and they are all of very high quality. The products arrived in good condition and promptly. Becky and her staff have been so kind to me to have gone out of their way to address some of my questions including vitamin interactions with my current prescriptions plus give me advice and referrals for other health products. Becky g literally saved my life from spiraling down after gaining weight from an injury. She recommended that I get my adrenal glands tested and found out that I had adrenal fatique.
Without this I would have never known. Now I am correcting the situation and on my way to health! Her personal story and testimony says it all- she is a woman that has concern for to others and is always willing to help out others. Whatever happened with a web-designer has no bearing on her as a person not bearing on her wonderful extension to the world through her life extensions products. Please disregard this derogotory comment. The products are top notch and service is remarkable.

First and foremost, everyone that knows me KNOWS that I am as honest of a person and genuine as they come. I am always fair to everyone that I encounter. Scott went way overboard on this and the issue has been peacefully reconciled. I hired Scott randomly off the internet,to my website with the understanding that I needed the site to be up and running at all times OR if the site was going to be down that I needed to schedule that on an "off time".
Upon agreeing to terms I forwarded Scott the first payment. He made minor changes to the website that looked good. During the weekend following I received emails from customers stating that "the website was down". When I went to load the website it would not load at all. I was very concerned to say the least and upon trying to contact Scott, he explained to me "that he did not work on weekends". Given my faith in Scott was failing I decided to reverse my check to him until the problem was reconciled. Scott eventually fixed the website and was paid in full for his services.
TO MY BLOG READERS: If you read my blogs closely you will know that I am a very kind, sincere, fair person with one goal in mind and that is "to help people" genuinly and honestly. Thank you for believing in me. What is the saying, "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me". Harsh, but true. Think twice before ever yelping someone. There are better ways to resolve issues in an ethical manner.
