i opened 6 free checking accounts with wachovia bank - 2 personal and 2 each for my 2 businesses. these are free business checking with zero balance. wells fargo took over wachovia bank a few weeks later and my accounts were transferred to wells fargo.

i was still working on my cash flow and left 3 of these accounts with a zero balance till i decided to arrange money in all 6 accounts. a few days ago these 3 accounts disappeared from the online banking website.

so i called and asked why. the woman said that they were closed because they were inactive for an extended period of time.

the woman says: 'we reserve the right to close an account that is inactive for an extended period of time' this was spoken in a rude, crude, crass, abusive, obscene, foul, stinking, debased tone of voice and attitude. as though i have violated the banks right or raped the bank or committed a crime on the bank.

what is this extended period of time? 2 months!!

why did you not notify me  - an email is free? We do not need to!!

when i asked her to reopen these free accounts, she abusively an rudely said no - but they can open a wells fargo account with fees.

believe me, if this was an account with fees, they would have piled up the fees and interest and not closed the account if it had a zero balance.

so these faeces of people are closing the free accounts in order to blackmail us into opening a paid account.

i am in the process of moving all my funds to another account.

my family and friends will be turned away from wells fargo.

i have already started turning away all people that i can from wells fargo.

i have started posting as many complaints as i can online.

in the next 20 years they will lose hundreds of thousands in business.

all for what? a free email? a $10 fee? faeces of telephone support?

wells fargo - is it worth it? penny wise and pound foolish. making your customers in enemies will completely destroy you.

they had a chance to correct their mistake - they didn't. they have started a war - now they will lose hundreds of thousands in the years to come - i will make sure of that.

if you plan on banking with wells fargo, don't. turn others away from them and if you have an account with them, change your bank. don't give them the opportunity too cause you problems.

This is NOT the bank you want for a free checking account. Not to say chase does not have it's share of ethics issues, but one of my checking accounts with them has had a balance of $1.05 for almost a year.

They do not want me to close the account, nor do they want to charge me any fees or change me to a different type of account. It almost seems as if they actually want me as a customer. If they have something up their sleeve I do not know, it seems so far, totally free even with a long term balance close to zero.

I even called and asked if it is better to close the account since I never use it..their CSR stated and I quote "don't worry about it". So far, so good.

as mentioned in the beginning of the ad, i had 6 accounts. the other 3 accounts have funds in them.
