I am dealing with an issue that has been unresolved since August 2008. I was engaged to be married and he left me in a lease I cannot afford. Which really is not the issue at hand. I kept the ring as I should have and attempted to return it to Walmart to get the money to pay my bills. Because of the break up I am having to move and have not been able to pay my rent.

When I went there they told me I needed to bring a bank statement to show proof being I did not have the receipt. I pulled the bank statement and brought it back on the Saturday to the Assistant Manager Raciel (don't have last name) Expecting to see him there he was not the ladies in the office pulled the receipt based on the information I provided from bank statement.

When they saw the receipt and the rang the ring there were two different amounts one 479.00 and the other was like 532.00 I could be off by a few dollars. The reason being was my mother's friend assisted my ex-fiancee with a discount because she worked there. I had no idea of this until later only to find out that is against Walmart's policies. That is not my problem.

Needless to say Raciel was not there and another Asst. Manager by the name of Gary came to me and said Raciel needed to handle this his exact words were "You don't want me to handle this" implying and threatening at the same time that is how I felt. I came back following day. Mind you no one ever said ANYTHING about a 90-day policy on jewelry. When I came back the next day to see him he says "We have to send it to get appraised" then he inquires with a regular CSM what the policy is. She says it needs the Certificate of Authenticity. Which is something else that was not told to me. Actually never even got one.

To make this long story short , I just want the ring returned and they are making go back and forth I have tried to talk with the Manager of the store Nathan Rarey who is NEVER available. I have emailed customer service I have spoken to another asst mgr who took my number and never called. This is ridiculous.

I have the box, the ring, the original tags, the bank statement and THE RECEIPT. I still have not heard anything. Then the last thing they say to me is "oh its over 90-days" well they never said that in the beginning. If this in fact is a policy it must be new. I initially told Raciel it was a while ago when the ring was purchased. The store number is 737-7007 and it is on Phillips Hwy between University and Emerson.

Please Help I have had to borrow money just to buy food. They are giving me the run around and would not even offer a gift card which I would have taken.
