Two weeks ago I purchased 4 General grabber tires from walmart. I went through a carwash and it washed off the raised white lettering. A $600 ripoff. White lettering is built into a tire, not painted on. Walmart shows these cheeper prices at a cost. Like on computers they give you less software, televisions and other electronics have outdated internals . In order to get walmart orders , companies make the products cheeper any way they can. I'm a disabled vetern and now I'm afraid to go down the street in these tires, wondering where else they cut corners.

Colorado,
Have you asked General Tire about this "problem?"

You're saying that General, and others, send an inferior product to Walmart...right?

What PROOF do you have of this?  Ask General Tire what the "differences" are and let us know.

What TV's and electronics they sell have outdated electronics?  What is your proof on this one?  I've found they have the latest in electronics at a good price point.

"I'm a disabled vetern and now I'm afraid to go down the street in these tires, wondering where else they cut corners."

Also ask General what things they changed to make the Walmart tires unsafe.

BTW I'm really tired of hearing the "I'm a disablec veteran" statement as if the retaillers and manufacturers are out to get you.  By your accounting, they check to see your status and then if disabled, sell you inferior merchandise or services.   It's a VOLUNTEER military now and it is a bit hazardous and you should know that going in.  I'm also a veteran, not disabled, but the possibility was always there.
