I Wasted 7 years of my life at Walmart. I was a cart pusher on the parking lot during 100 degree summers and frigid winters, usually by myself. Some of my co-workers were the laziest scumbags I've ever worked with. They would hide inside the store all day and make me do all the work. One guy hid in the store for 6 months without the managers knowing or even caring. He would clock in and roam the store all day and clock out at the end of the shift. He eventually got bored with it and just stopped showing up.Some guys would clock in and just go home and come back later and clock out. I complained dozens and dozens of times over the years about it. The managers acknowlwedged that there was a problem, but refused to lift a finger to solve it. Some of the managers were very arrogant. I must emphasize ARROGANT! One of my supervisors was only 22 years old. Her name was Kasey, and she was too young to be anyones boss. She was extemely arrogant and was the most incompatent manager I've ever worked under. To this day I hate the name "Kasey". Every year on my evaluation, I was labeled as "exceeds expectations", which is Walmarts highest remark. I got fired for pushing too many carts at one time. This is one of the largest Walmarts in the country, and I had to do what was necessary to compensate for the large volume of customers. Everyday I worked was a catch 22 situation, because I would get yelled at for not keeping the cart bay full, but I would get yelled at for pushing too many carts at one time (the limit is 20). Now, I have a better job with better pay. I will never work at Walmart again, nor would I recomend Walmart to anyone!

In response, I can tell you must be one of those mindless robot-like managers who have been brainwashed by the company. I've dealt with countless people like you in my tenure. Let me guess, you think Walmart invented gold and laid the foundation of Heaven. What you don't realize is once Walmart exec's decides you make too much money or they just have a crazy thought passing through their minds, they'll give you the axe! It's just a matter of time before they do it to you, and you will in turn use this website to vent your frustrations. My store manager sounded just like you- worshipping the company. Not long after I was fired, they demoted her and sent her out of state. She was one of the most dedicated or shall I say brainwashed managers I've ever worked for. I wouldn't be suprised if she had a Walmart shrine in her house that she bowed and sacrificed animals to. It is true that I had 2 previous coachings for pushing too many carts. The fact is , that was the ONLY way to get the job done. Everyone who pushed less were quickly pushed into unemployment! I lasted 7 years! Those who pushed the required amount lasted on average about a year or two- if that! If you couldn't keep up, managers would b***h you out in your face and that is no exageration. The real reason for coachings is to make sure that few people are allowed to stay for too long and get yearly merit raises, thus making labor costs high. I was the highest paid cart pusher, therefore managers would use every opportunity to write me up so they could hire new people at a lower rate. They didn't really care about me pushing to many carts. To this day, I watch cart pushers and managers alike push 30-40 carts on a daily basis and nobody bats an eye about it! I was only fired for making too much money, plain and simple. Just wait till it happens to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all you would of had to have other coachings. You wouldn't have went straight to termination for this offense. You would be coached due to unsafe work practices.  So you most likely was on a Decision Day for some other issue.  The limit of 20 is put on pushing carts to protect you and your back.  You should have been told during orientation and safety meetings.  This is also in place to keep our prices low by cutting down on accident costs.
