Warezaccess Internet Scam - Bait and Switch Internet
Similar experience as posted by Rick and Marconrua. Signed up for file sharing website, at $ 4.96 for 'lifetime membership', was instead forwarded to two porn sites and immediately charged three different charges totaling over $46.00 Received email confirming membership in porn sites and that these charges would be applied monthly unless membership was canceled. No word of file sharing anywhere.
Called customer service to complain and cancel - was told in broken English (strong Asian accent, likely Thailand or vicinity) that my 'membership' was now canceled and there were no charges posted to my card, which is incorrect according to my online account statement. I was given three 'cancellation numbers' - a different one each time I asked.
Beware of their online canceling option - if you agree to their 'canceling conditions' you actually agree to extend your porn memberships at a lower rate - if you do not agree 'your membership and privileges remain unchanged'. Read the fine print. The charges are to recur monthly. I will dispute the charges with my cc company. HANDS OFF EVERYONE!.
