had a light come on in my 2001 focus.pulled over and put some fluids into the car and the light went out.drone the car for approx. 325 miles and the light came back on and called to see where i needed to take the car.took car to a transmission repair place and was told they couldn't check it that day.

They wanted me to leave the car 35 miles from home.took car back home. called and took it to performance 10 in town where it sat on the lift for 3 days.the adjustor came looked at the car and agreed with the repair shop that the damage was not caused by neglect or by me.the warranty company than had the adjusted photograph my car to show the cars condition.the adjustor reported back that the car was well maintained.he got on the phone to the warranty company to report to them that it was a repairable claim.at that point i was told by the repairman that the adjustor and person on the phone werearguing on the validity of the claim.i didn't hear from anybody for 3 days the the repair shop called to see what was up.i told him nobody had contacted me.i then contacted the warranty company and was told the person handling the claim was out to lunch.he called me about 90 minutes later.at this point i was told they weren't covering it because there was metal in the transmission.i was told that because i drove the car the metal got in the transmission and no they had their out for not paying the claim.i was told by another transmission place that the torque converter is like a fan and when it does go it shoots metal out into the transmission.after the converter goes it doesn't matter if you drive the car 10 miles or 400 miles like i did, there's still metal in the transmission.oh by the way,it was my torque converter that went.i was told this is quite common on ford focus'es around 80,000 miles.

,mine has 77,000.now my dear warranty company that called me on the phone and promised me to be just as good and there for me just as my esp warranty i had with ford ,but only cheaper.

Now i know why it's cheaper, because when you need it they're not there and they will find i way to weasel their way out of paying you.oh,the only thing it was seemingly willing to do was refund my unused potion of my premium.thanks for nothing.it's a shame that there are companies in america that rip-off people ,like i've been.
