Complaint Review: Washington State Corrections - Olympia Washington

Inmate sues the State of Washington and Coyote Ridge Corrections Center for $1.4 billion dollars for the savage rape cover-up and sabotage of a Supreme Court case.

I am going to share with you an overview of how all of this came to be. I am a very good friend of Mark Markussen, an inmate who is currently incarcerated at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center (CRCC) in Washington State. Mark has worked very hard, researching, filing legal documents and dealing with the politics of the corrections system. All while dealing with the inexcusable, rights violating, cover-up of numerous crimes. The sabotaged case that Mark has in the Supreme Court will make history in Washington State. That is why this is such a big deal. Legal documents were sabotaged, calls were made and emails exchanged between the attorney general representing the State in this case and Mark’s counselor. Due to these actions this case is tainted and biased beyond repair with the only remedy being dismissal with prejudice. On top of that the department of corrections is trying to cover-up a savage rape along with other unforgiving acts. In this matter Mark is subject to seizures, where one day guards held him down while he was suffering from one. Everyone knows you do not restrain a person who is having a seizure. Their actions caused him to blow a disk in his back. He was sent to Walla Walla Penitentiary’s infirmary where he stayed for 2.5 months recovering and where this brutal rape occurred.  The day after he returned to CRCC where he reported this rape to his counselor, Annie Sawyer. She did not report this crime, instead burying it and hoping it slipped everyone’s mind. She admits that she didn’t report this in the Internal Investigation report. After numerous phone calls someone finally looked into it, where they found that the man, Robert Bierlich, was only infracted for what he had done. This punishment is unacceptable. He lost good time and visitations for a month. This rapist is now due to be out in the community in less than 36 months where if charges were filed accordingly this man would instead be locked up for life, due to the fact that this isn’t the first incident he has had while incarcerated. I have been in communication with the Connell Police Department who is looking into the rape and cover-ups. When I called the Walla Walla Police department they said that they cannot help me even though this is their jurisdiction.

I have numerous documents, affidavits, staff misconduct, along with many other legal documents for support all of this. There are public disclosures that have been filed so that emails, phone calls and video of everything that has happened is saved. What they have done can be proven it is unconstitutional. I want to get this story out there so that we can make sure things like this don’t happen again. Even though these people are in prison they still have rights, a family and a life. What makes their life any less important than yours or mine? Please help me in getting this out there and forcing the government to take action and own up to its mistakes.
