I worked for a Weichert franchise for years and never had any problem and definitely never paid fees. I paid a percentage of every commission and that was all, I was treated very fair.
Choosing a brokerage is easy, if you don't like the fees or commission split you find another brokerage.

Weichert is the franchise. Each office is independently owned and operated. Weichert does not control commissions, office fees, or anything else pertaining to an individual office. Offices have to meet Weichert requirements for logos, signs, and advertising formats and it provides sales and business management assistance to franchisees. Weichert offices have to pay a portion of commissions to Weichert and pay a franchise fee to Weichert in the beginning in order to become a Weichert agency but internal office fees and rules are the responsibility of an individual office. If the ROR submitter has a problem with a real estate office the complaint should be submitted against the office, not Weichert.
