Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Wells Fargo is Wachovia with a new shiney name.  We told them that my husband took out a 401k loan & it would be available to pay off our truck on Friday, Monday or Tuesday - told them to call the employer for confirmation. They picked up the truck on Thursday - leaving my husband stranded an hour away from home with no way to get home.  Tried to pay it Monday morning, when the $6000 was available in our account, but they won't take a direct wire from the bank - had to be western union (of course, more charges to send).  So, had to change banks, because we bank with Ally (a very good bank), and have the money transferred to a local credit union. Husband paid the $6000 this morning after the funds transferred to the credit union & now being told we can pick up the truck Friday (the lot that our truck is at is closed for the holidays). SOOOOOO - can't get our truck til Monday now - I BEGGED customer service to just release our truck so we can have a Thanksgiving with our kids - got mean & nasty & said I'd just have to wait til Monday (which means no Thanksgiving for us). The truck is paid off - all they have to do is call the lady & let her know it's paid in full - to the cent - $6000.28 (she's been very nice to us, by the way). Then, the $15/day charge for storage..... not even gonna have the money left to get it out Monday....

Yes, I was nice enough to say "Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving" & "Bless Your Heart" - hopefully those in the South will know exactly what "Bless Your Heart" really means..... and, just for the record, I don't need one of you Wells Fargo idiots commenting on my post, like I've seen with other victims. My husband had a heart attack at the grand old age of 47 last year - we fell behind - we lost our home to foreclosure - life happens, but I won't even wish this on my worst enemy - which right now is all those nasty people at Wells Fargo & Bank of America.

First,

Dont blame Wells Fargo Bank the company.  Wells Fargo Dealer Services was  WFS Finanical / Wescorp.  They were bought once from Wachovia Bank then Wells Fargo bough them and merged them into their auto divison.

The people who run Wells Fargo Dealer Services are the same "people" who where WFS Financial.  I can tell you that Wells Fargo Sr, Mgmt is concern about all the lawsuits not only from consumers but from employees too. The Sr. Mgmt is horrible, horrible is to say the least.  Here is what you need to do .

Call and ask for the Office of the President number, demand to speak to someone in OOP ( office of the pres) they have to give you that number if they dont ask to speak to a manager.  Complain, complain and complain that will get results. If that dont work Google Wells Fargo Dealer Services in Irvive their corporate office is located on Pasteur in Irvine get the name of Tom Wolf the President of the Div and speak to him.

If all else fails hire an attorney and sue, I can tell you they will settle because wells fargo bank dont like lawsuits and they are getting so many they will settle.

I complain all teh way to the top and I got results.  If you complain dont give up call, call, if need be call the head of wells fargo bank consumer leanding div Pres Avid Monntabi  she is located in san francisco hdqtrs.  Tell her you complaint  Im sure she will be intersted

You are not a victim of the "big evil bank".  When you and your husband took out the loan there was NO provision that said you only had to pay it when you could.  Nope..it said you had to make every single payment or you are subject to them reposessing the vehicle.

The fact is that you gambled by holding them off as long as you THOUGHT you could and lost the gamble.  That's right..YOU and YOU alone gambled that they wouldn't take the car and you could hold off paying on them.  Oh and how do I know.  Well did this 401K money just magically appear..NOPE.  You probably held them off for 2-3 months with various promises and stories, perhaps even a "partial payment" that kept them from reposessing it earlier.  Then at some point you waited until the absolute last moment to get the money, only to find out that Wells Fargo was tired of waiting and took the action they were legally entitled to by reposessing the truck.  Just think, if only you had paid them a week earlier you would still have your truck.

As for you not being able to see your family for Thanksgiving?  Well quite frankly don't any of them have a car that they could come and get you?  Sorry if that sounds harsh but seriously if that is such a big thing for you I bet that you could make it happen..just like you made the 401K money appear at the absolute last moment you could.

Now on a totally unrelated subject..if you truly did have 6K in a 401K how come your house went into foreclosure.  I bet that that 6,000 would have covered several months of your mortgage payment and perhaps saved your house.  Just something to think about.

Oh and no I do not work for them and would have said the exact same thing regardless of the bank you mentioned.

Right...its ALL their fault?  Its you husband's truck...your husband's account and your husband signed the contract in which he agreed to make payments on time, every time.  Your husband or you or the both of you failed to live up to your word and therefore it was YOU guys who turned "ON" the collections efforts.  Unlike you guys, the lender did keep their word and did the repo just like they said they would do when borrowers don't keep their word.  They didn't trust you because you've probably been late and in collections with them before...otherwise they would have given you some leeway.  Explain to your children the consequences of not paying your bills on time.

If they took your vehicle then you were MORE then just behind. That sounds like a repo. If that is the case how exactly can you be mad that they repoed it? You knew it was a possibility. I can understand how you might be upset, but come one really. This is a situation of your own making. yes it is a holiday and thats whats causing your issue. If they took your truck, then you will just have to wait until monday. Its just another day in the grand scheme of life.

It sounds like youre just mad because they wouldnt break policy JUST FOR YOU. The entire body of your post is ranting and raving because they took THEIR truck back. And it was THEIR truck at the time. If you had not fallen behind this wouldnt have happend.
