I tried all the suggestions on here and nothing worked. I am still homeless after 1 yr. 4 mos. I pray that someone does something to Wells Fargo Home Mortage/Norwest before I die. Living in car and desparation here. Lost my daughter too. I can only pray that someone will take up the fight!

The Acorn Housing Corp. is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping people in their homes. I just went to their site researching for another person, and they really do get the ball rolling. I was reading about how they kept a family from losing their home. They actually negotiate with you, and contact the mortgage company. Please consider this site. If I had known about it sooner, I would have told you. Others here at Rip-off.com have recommended them as well. Unfortunately I can't remember the specific reports. They're very easy to find. It's not just a government organization, that takes a complaint form from you and disappears. They also have experience working with Wells Fargo and Fairbanks=Lucifer and his league. Okay I'll cut the mellow drama, but they're really crappy, you'll find a lot of people at this site who agree. Keep in touch. We hope to hear good news from you next time.

Letters mailed, faxes done!! Now waiting to see if Wells Fargo replys or ignores it "just long enough" to put me and my daughter on the side of the road. Yes they do just dump your things on the county ride-of-way to be "fair game" to all passers-by, so I am told by a "representative of Wells Fargo". In other words they can destroy my property?? It does not seem fair, just nor right by any means. Next update to be on Tuesday July 8th, 2003. That is if I am still here. Thank you Ripoff for the information to fight back with. Oh and don't forget that Norwest MTG. is under the skirt-tails of Wells Fargo Home MTG. Amazing how small business gets eaten up by Large Corporations, and who gets hurt? We the Comsumer!!!

I am working on them now. I appreciate all the help I can get, since I am no expert either. Now I don't feel so lost and alone! I will let you know how all this turns out.

Mortgage financing is miserably complicated, and I will not pretend to be any kind of expert, however these options cannot hurt. It is important that you not take to long in researching these contacts, because we do not know the statute of limitations for any charges you may press or vindication receivable. In addition, I have read about how this company is hideously wicked, and is already being sued. They have special lawyers, who hold out, string the process alon, until the Plaintiff/Victimized Consumer runs out of money, in Court. Win or lose, they allegedly bankrupt you first. They have ways of manipulating their documention, and they practice "bait and switch" manuevers, which are out-right illegal, in other profesions. The number posted: 1-800-348-3931 is for the organization/site called Stopmortgagefraud.com This site is run by The Mortgage Association of America. There physical address is clearly posted at the bottom of the screen, and not hidden behind a post office box. They have an online complaint form for you to fill out, if you are subject to "Abusive Lending" practices. I looked at the form, and think you can handle it. You sound like you have a pretty good handle on the situation. I have not tried this or any other contacts myself. I did visit some of the sites, but cannot use them as I do not share the same problem-rip-off situation. Here's another site called www.consumeraction.gov. they too have assistance, and may be of service. For the record you should contact your State: Attorney: Administrative Office of Consumer Affairs, 2 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Suite 356, Atlanta, GA, 30334, phone: 404-656-3790, toll free outside of Atlanta area: 1-800-869-1123, Fax: 404-656-3790, Web: www2.state.ga.us/gaoca Here is another consumer organization, maybe you can work your way through the list, and see where you get results or contact them at once, whatever is easiest and fastest. Legal & Consumer Specialist Affairs, Dept. of Banking & Finance, 2990 Brandywine Road, Suite 200, Atlanta, GA, 30341-5565, phone: 720-986-1655, Fax: 770-986-1657, email: [email protected], Web site: www.gadbf.org This is the last one: promise: Board of Governers of the Federal Reserve System, Division of Consumer and Community Affairs, 20th 8C Street, NW Stop 801, Washington, D.C., 20551, phone: 202-452-3693. Wells Fargo is under Fedaral Regulation through the Federal Reserve which is a part of why they get away with so much, but from what I understand, they want to know when Mortgage Companies are being abusive. How they respond is unknown to me. Please give us an update, and let us know how this turns out. Maybe you can educate us on which of these contacts is effective, to help others in your situation. I pray you get this and results in your situation. God keep you and your daughter safe.
