I'm not sure what the hell is going on with this bank but I switched to wells fargo 6 months ago and I've noticed some really sketchy stuff the past 3 or so months. I check my account literally, every single day, multiple times a day, as I have limited funds I am very careful with making sure i know what to spend, if i will have enough leftover after such and such transaction goes through, etc.

First off, I've noticed that they rearrange pending transactions every day you make more than one transaction, as well as transactions that just seem to "disappear" often making it in such a way that you have more than you do in your available balance. It's hard to really explain this well in a nonconfusing way, since its confusing to me , and at first I brushed it off, thinking that I could have just missed something myself. But it happened again, and again, and again so I started to pay extra attention, every day, every deposit, withdrawal , transaction on my account, and started to see somewhat of a pattern. For example, my direct deposit goes through as expected, i even double check my funds as im walking out the door. So I've got $100 in my account. I make a transaction for $20, stop at a gas station, another purchase of $10, and later that evening or next morning spend another $10. No activity for a couple days and another $50 is directly deposited. My balance should be $110 at this point. Make a otc withdrawal of $80. Leaving the balance at $30. Everything looks right, in order, and all every time i checked and suddenly I check, the freaking available balance is somehow $80. With every single one of the transactions I've mentioned to pending that day even though they posed already prior to this day, in order of $50 direct deposit, transaction of $20, $10, $10, withdrawal of $80 , oh then throw in that monthly $10 fee somehow making it so my account was overdrawn by $80, THEN hit me with a freaking overdraft fee for EVERY one of those transactions!!!! Incidents such as that are not uncommon.

Secondly , I noticed out if nowhere looking at my statements...i have several unknown charges , of 1 or 2 dollars, on every statement since I opened the account, which WERE NOT THERE BEFORE. Called them. Filed a claim. Refunded. Or so I thought. Until I go back and look, and it's credited, but then a sneaky reversal of them all spread out here and there, when i got a letter approving the freaking claim stating my money was refunded. Uhhh what the hell? Cancelled that card. Got a new one, activate it. No transactions made because I knew my funds were low, today, my direct deposit of $50 goes through. Checked, it's there, okay go to the grocery store. Declined. Check. $50 transaction I DID NOT MAKE, on the card I HADN'T EVEN USED ONCE YET. Some website linode.com, with some numbers and NJ, checked out what that site was. Yeah I totally did not make that. Nor was there even a chance of my card being compromised, at all. I have 3 kids so , I never got around to disputing it today although I tried to call twice, yesterday. It is 7am the next morning I got up early to make the call. I check my account. $50 is suddenly there. NO TRACE OF THE TRANSACTION WHATSOEVER. like none of that even happened!!!! It's gone, not refunded, or returned, or anything it doesn't exist, but a transaction from a week ago that was posted, some how moves up to today's pending transaction. what the hell are they trying to pull?!?! I've never been so frustrated with a bank or company in my life. SO DONE, DO NOT EVER USE THIS BANK, OR YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF LEFT AND RIGHT.

Our lawyer even said that ashley hawthorne is a crazy woman who has never been disciplinied by her parents or held accountable for her criminal and unethichal actions because the phoenix city police sided with her and the court even though she called me mentally retarded and told my mom to take her mentally retarded son back in her home. Like she had some type of authority

Ashley and chaz  hawthorne made sure to let  everyone know what they did to me and my mom. Well i'm letting everyone know to of how ashley hawtorne falsely accused us yet again while we was taking care of our own banking business and she falsely called the police on us and infulenced wells fargo to close our account. And wells fargo claimed that they had no biased against us in closing our account. Well i beg to differ they did have bias against us because of the untrue lies that ashley hawthorne told dane chambers about us and how he threaten us.

Dane chambers got fired 1 year after he had our account closed and threaten us to stay out of the wells fargo location where we ran into her. Yet ashley and chaz hawthorne are still employed at wells fargo.  And wells fargo is still wondering why they are losing business. They have S*** for brains just like team rebuttal.

I have been a Wells Fargo Customer for over 11 years and I have never had any problems with money disappearing from my account.  I have had 1 nsf charge in those 11 years and at the time I thought it was their fault.  I went to a local branch at the advice of a phone banker and they were more than happy to help me locate my problem.

My suggestion to you is to go into a local branch and have a customer service rep help you understand the correct way to manage your account.  They are there to help you and I am sure they would be more than happy to help you.

Anytime I have questions about my account or any of my personal or business loans I always go into a local branch instead of calling the telephone banker.  I would rather do business face to face.

Good luck to you

You need a serious lesson in how to manage an account.

First and foremost there is ONE person and ONE person only who is responsible for your money...YOU. It sounds as if you are a bit younger and are trying to do the right thing so let me help you out a bit.

Online/ATM/Phone Banking was NEVER meant to replace a Written Check register. Due to how Debit Card transactions are processed the "disappearing" and "reappearing" of the transactions is part of the STANDARD process done by every bank.

In short a merchant will submit an authorization when you attempt to use the card, this shows up as "pending" until the merchant finalizes the transaction and the bank posts it. Due to various factors outside of the bank's control this could be anywhere from the same day to over a week later. Banks also do not post transactions on Weekends/Holidays. Meaning that every transaction you do on a weekend/holiday will not get posted until the end of the next banking day.

If a merchant does not finalize a transaction in a specific amount of time, your bank will release the hold and make the funds available. Basically make the transaction "disappear". Depending on the bank this is generally anywhere from 3-21 days. This is where your other bank may have differed, they could have not released these holds as quickly so you never saw them disappear. However, it being removed does not keep the merchant from submitting the final debit and withdrawing the funds. Basically making the transaction "reappear".

This is why a WRITTEN check register is important. As if you write down every transaction you make, when you make it and for the amount you used. It does not matter when it actually gets posted YOU know you spent the money. This has an added benefit of saving you time. As you now no longer need to go online several times a day to see your balance, as you have it written down.

As for the item you say was "posted" the previous week and is now "pending". Once a transaction is "posted" it will not be removed. So you may have seen it show up a week ago, but I can again just about guarantee it was not "posted". Of course if you have some proof to the contrary it would be interesting to see.

Part 2...Invalid charges. Without much detail I can not help, other than to say if you see invalid charges on your account you MUST dispute them. But realize especially if they keep showing up that you may need to do some more research to see where they are coming from and making sure you didn't sign up for something.

As for the $50 website charge, this goes back to the "pending" issue. Someone(I can just about guarantee it wasn't Wells Fargo) ATTEMPTED to use the card but it was never completed. So the "pending" charge just falls off. It is unfortunate that it happened when it did but there is no guarantee it wouldn't have happened with any other bank. Oh and had you called as soon as you saw it, the bank would have told you the same thing and that they can't do a single thing until the transaction "posts".
