on the 17-th of June, 2001 I parked my car in the West village, at the public parking, under handicapped sign. My friend is handicapped, she gave me her sign. We went to the movies (Magnolia), and when I came to my car, there was a boot on the tire from the driver's seat side. I went to the security officer, and told him my friend was handicapped, she cannot walk so far. He said that her document was was out of date. But when they saw her, they removed the fine and the boot. I took her home, and coming to my car, by the lights I saw an ugly scratch on the rim. I returned to the West village, and told this to a security officer. He said they coul not do this with the boot. I was so tired, it was dark and late. In the morning I saw the damage was pretty bad, and I went there again, It was a week-end, I talked to another security, and he actually said that a cosmetic damage could be done with a boot. He gave me their boss'number. I called the next day to Kir Horton, the director of security and Facitlity Operations, and drove there. They looked at the rim, brought the boot again. Whatever they trying to say to me, it was clear that the damage was made by them. As the boot has a part of iron, which touched the iron rim. Plus, it's not stable (the boot), expecially if the emplyee tried to kick it, so that it would sit stronger. I took the pictures, and Mr Horton told me to estimate the damage, and
call him. I drove to the dealership, and I was told the rim cost is $156, and the car needs to be taken to the factory (rent0a-car expenses). He talked to Mr.Horton as well. After that I have never heard from the director of that company again, my friend called him. He said we need to prove that the scratch was not there. She saw also that there was no scratch before. The attourney's fees are very expensive. What I am supposed to do? It's like this anybody can damage your property and go away.  Elena

of Horsesh*t!

The only reason for these "boots" is to extort money from people.

What a d**n shame you can't even watch a movie without these leeches trying to rip you off and damage your car in the process!

Total SCUM!

if they don't make this right, I would definitely get some ripoffrevenge! -Theres really LOTS of ways, and only limited to your imagination.  A BB, pellet gun, or 22 rifle comes to mind!

Even if they do make this right, think of your lost time and hassle they've caused you.

GET EM!

". I drove to the dealership, and I was told the rim cost is $156, and the car needs to be taken to the factory (rent0a-car expenses)."

If you told me that, I would think you were trying to scam me.  It's a rim.  It can be replaced in less that 15 minutes.  The mention of the rental car expenses and the car having to go to the factory are ridiculous claims which no one would take seriously.
