In October of 2008 I purchased an Extended warranty for my 2006 Colorado from a lady named April Aloe at William L Morris Chevrolet. I purchased a contract that extends my warranty for an additional 4 years or 100,000 miles. They wrote up the contract, I signed it and I paid $2113 for it.

A few months later I got a letter saying that they refuse to honor the contract because they charged me the wrong amount of money. So the letter stated that I need to pay them an extra $410. I felt that this was a bait and switch.

I refuse to pay extra, so they agreed (after a lot of arguing) to pay me my money back. I have called numerous times since and they give me stories about how the check was lost in the mail etc etc.

Here we are 5 months later, my factory warranty is about to expire and I have no warranty and no check in my hand. The dealership refuses to give me a call back. They basically Stole $2113 from me because they won't honor the contract even though they wrote it up and everyone signed it, and they won't give me my money back.

After filing this report and a similar one with the BBB last week, William L Morris finally gave me my refund today.

Take 'em to small claims court

You have enough documentation to make this a quick and easy job in small claims court. They breached the contract and they owe you the money. Go get 'em. BTW- You're lucky that you'll be able to get out of the deal. The vast majority of these 3rd party used car "warranties" are completely useless. Just look around on this site and you'll see how the backers of these warranty contracts use fine print clauses to get out of paying for anything. You're much better off with $2K in your pocket.
