WLI Reservation Rewards (aka: CarolWrightGifts.com) CarolWrightgifts.com either sold or gave my information to WLI Reservation Rewards without my consent or knowledge. Nationwide
I regularly receive the 'Carol Wright gifts' magazine circular in the mail. In October, I went to their website to purchase a few items that I had seen in the circular.
In November, I noticed a strange charge on my bankcard statement for $9. I didn't think much of it, because I frequently shop online. When the same charge showed up again in December, I got suspicious.
I went to my bank, and they told me to call the 800 number listed on my stament. I did, but it was just an automated system. It had the option to cancel my subscription, but in order to do that, they wanted me to input my bankcard number, or my password.
Since I did'nt know my password, and there is NO way, I'm going to give them my card number, I started doing some research online to try to find out how cancel my membership.
I found an 888 number, and called it. I told the person on the phone that I wanted to cancel this membership, because I never signed up for it. She told me that they had gotten my information from CarolWrightgifts.com, and that someone had already called them to cancel my membership. I told the lady on the phone to cancel it immediatly, and give me back the $18 they had taken out of my checking accou nt without my knowledge or consent. They said my account would be reimbersed withen 3-5 business days. We'll see
