Be advised and fully aware that this company is also d/b/a: "World Financial Services" in the Pittsburgh-area. I was recruited for a "presentation" by a Gene Singer. I ALMOST bit on it. However, I thought, "what company gives a presentation before an interview?" Locally, they have their office over near Robert Morris University, so if you're reading this and are familiar with that area, you'll have an idea of where they are.
I did some checking and the way I know these people are one and the same as WFG is that Singer mentioned the name of what he termed "the parent company", AEGON. Dead giveaway! But, the ultimate giveaway was his e-mailing of directions that was slugged, "Directions To WFG"......checkmate!
Singer first approached me, having somehow gotten ahold my credentials. When pressed for details about the company's purpose, he couldn't go into depth with any certainty. He hopped around. First, this company made money by "buying up Fortune 500 companies."
When I asked him to explain further, he leapt to "we help people financially." This suggested to me that it was some kind of lending institution. Then, he said, "we're looking for experienced life insurance salemen and investment brokers."
It was almost like talking to someone high on marijuana.......he couldn't stick to the subject!

What are WFG's sales and/or assets? You are always talking about Aegon....

What percentage of Aegon's assets/sales are from WFG? You are misleading people by telling that inaccurate sales/assets numbers. A suggestion to females looking for work; when you go to Aegon for an "interview" take a partner, friend, husband, boyfriend. I spent 2 1/2 hours until 11 pm talking to these people/ 1 hour just sitting there waiting. What legit company interviews you at odd hours like that?

I am an associate with World Financial Group in California. It is unfortunate that you were introduced into the company by an irresponsible person from our company. His actions are completely against the guidelines and training enforced at WFG. As individual business owners with WFG, we have strick guidelines and training that are taught to insure the success of every associate. Those such as the one you encountered are either put through the training again or are released from the company We are proud of what we do to help families. Yes we are a Financial Services Company who is owned by Aegon Financial, a $465B company, number 46 on the Fortune list of best companies in the world. We take care of families who have no savings, no dealth protection, no college funds, etc. As a non-captive company we represent over 200 providers. If you already have experience in these areas, great we welcome your expertise. If you have no experience, we will train you. Also understand, we are heavily regualted by the states we reside in as well as the Federal Government because we have to be licensed by the state to sell insurance and licensed by the Federal Government to sell annuities and securities. I am sorry you had an unpleasent experience with World Financial Group. Please reconsider. It could be the best desision you will ever make.

Life Insurance IS a form of financial services. World Financial Services helps other people financially, which could mean lending, but could also mean Life Insurance. Life Insurance secures someones FINANCIAL future in case of catastrophy. It is OK for WFG to ask for Life Insurance Agents.
