I am being charged a total of $264.89 for a down load that I never even done while on the internet. I called and questioned them about this and they told me that I was on the internet while I was temporarily disconneted from my local provider and they connected me to their company which is the WORLDXCHANGE COMMUNICATIONS. I've never had such a big phone bill before and I feel they had hacked in on my computer somehow. Thank you for taking my complaint into consideration. Thanks Again, Tonya Crutcher Sam.

These guys are such crooks! Look up WorldxChange on google, you come up with so many name changes and bankrupcy's it isn't funny! I was scammed too. The amount $206.00 one month and $77.00 on my next bill I havn't received yet. They switched my long distance carrier without my permission or consent. Bellsouth records the conversations anytime you make long distance changes, or freezes, and they are way more credible than WorldxChange, who I never even heard of until I received my phone bill last month. They are rude at customer svc. when I dialed 877-955-5335 I spoke to operator #1062 ( They won't even tell you their name how dishonest is that) He was rude, told me no matter what, even if I didn't authorize the change in service I have to pay these charges. He refused to put me on with a supervisor, when I asked for one. When I said lets go to court, he stated that they weren't going to court, that they would just ruin my credit. Put a 1010 dial around block on your phone, it's free, and these people won't be able to scam you again.

This sounds like what another company... ALYON has been doing (makes me think this is now the same people, different name) since ALYON was just sued for this tactic by nearly half the states AND the FTC the past week or so... read THIS http://www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=47937 and other reports on ALYON... then COMPLAIN... these scammers need to be stopped. I also suggest that you write your legislatures to pass a law requiring phone companies to either 1) offer a level of service that prohibits international or long distance calls from a phone line, if chosen by the subscriber (phone cards are cheaper) or 2) prevents the local phone company from collecting on behalf of "third party" charges, including long distance companies. This means that your local phone company could not collect for scammers and you would not have to argue with them about being disconnected for not paying a long distance charge from a scammer. The scammer could not use your phone company as a collection agent. In the meantime, try SPYBOT software found at http"//security.kolla.de/ or do a web search top verify this address. Make sure you file a complaint however (a dispute) with your phone company.. AND a complaint with the FCC and state AG... the sooner THEY are aware of a new scam, the sooner they can sue these companies.
