WWV Marketing - World Wide Vacation Marketing Fraud advertising fee for sale of timeshare unit Datona Beach Florida
On 1/31/07, I received a call from a representative of WWV Marketing stating that for a fee (refundable) of $ 899.00, they would advertise for sale or rent the La Cabana timeshare that I owned in Aruba. I executed the documents and the $ 899 fee was paid by credit card.
The salesperson stipulated that if after one (1) year they were not successful in selling the timeshare unit, the fee of $ 899 would be refunded. In addition, the agreement that I signed specifically stated that if the unit was not sold in one year, they will refund the processing fee in full per my request made within 30 days of the expiration date.
During the year 2007, I never received any offer
On 2/01/2008, I attempted to contact this company and found that the phone number was not longer in service.
Obviously, I should have conducted some type of investigation before entering into this agreement...shame on me.
Buyers beware...they still have a web site at wwvprop.com/home.html
