Xcel Marketing - Atlas Marketing ripoff Don't fall for this scam They are door 2 door salesmen Nashville Tennessee
Xcel Marketing, AKA Atlas Promotions in Nashville, I believe also in Birmingham, AL is a termrible scam. I went for a round 2 interview today that was supposed to be a day on the field. It was a day in the field alright, a literal field. Two men drove me out into a rural area and started trying to sell stuff going door to door. These people are liars and con artists, don't apply to this company unless you are seeking a position as a door to door salesmen attempting to solicit sales out of innocent people minding their own business in their homes.

I went in for an interview with Xcel Marketing, which lasted about 10 minutes, during which I was told basically nothing about what the company actually did or how they compensated employees. After this prelim interview, I was called back by an excited "leader" in the company telling me that I was one of the few who would be able to have a second interview which entailed a full day shadowing experience of one of their salespeople to get a feel of exactly what Xcel was about. When I showed up for the second interview, I was still basically told nothing about what we were going to be doing. That is, not until I got into the car with two "salespeople" and was driven to a residential neighborhood in downtown Brentwood to do, what I found out on the way, door to door marketing. These salespeople made it seem as if we were going to to businesses and performing B2B sales, of which I am very familiar. However, this so called marketing firm only has partnerships with businesses selling coupon cards and % off tickets for sports teams such as the Predators. The card we were selling for the day was from a national pizza chain and was actually a good deal. However, my so-called trainer and I went around to over 100 houses during the day trying to sell these coupons until he met his daily quota. It was raining and about 30 degrees and I didn't have a coat or appropriate shoes, due to the fact they didn't divulge what we were going to be doing during the interview. They also will lead you into thinking that if you stick with them for a few weeks you can earn up to six figures in the first year by owning your own office. This is not true either, my trainee couldn't tell me what percentage of level one or field employees ended up as owners. This is because, I feel, there are none Be aware of Xcel marketing. This is a scam whose sole purpose is to perform door-to-door marketing. Don't be fooled into thinking, as I was, that this company is a solid and reputable marketing firm, because they are far from it.
