Email is easy to use --- YAHOO HAS MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE!!

I have been a Yahoo customer for over 11 years. I have never had any complaints.

Yahoo was a fine company, but they have turned into a less then mediocre establishment, with no respect and no regard for their customers.

Yahoo Mail discontinued Mail Classic, an excellant product, on June 20, 2013. Since then, I have tried everything possible to use this new version, but the new version simply doesn't work.

I re-installed IE8.0 - I paid $110. to check my computer for viruses, besides the Norton 360 I already have - I re-installed Java - I cleared my cookies numerous times and cleaned my disks.  These efforts did not resolve the problems with Yahoo's new mail version.

I then tried installing Firefox and Safari. The new version worked as poorly with them as it does with IE8.0. I have contacted Yahoo tech support numerous times. I have been communicating with one of their techs, Lazarus, a very nice man, but he was unable to fix the problems. He escalated the issues to the engineers and so far they've been unable or unwilling to fix the problems.

My daughter, my granddaughter and I have been plagued with these problems for a month.

I don't foresee any resolution. I am accusing Yahoo of FRAUD They had to know this product would not work, yet they put it out anyway. My daughter and my granddaughter are having the same problems. On Facebook my granddaughter has talked to many people. They are saying the same things, and have indicated they are closing their Yahoo email accounts and going to Gmail.

Here is a list of the problems we are having:

Contacts
I cannot work in my contacts at all!
1. When typing in the first letter or two in the TO: box the address doesn't populate.
2. When putting in a category title in the TO, CC or BCC field, close the email in draft,

then re-open it, the names are not populated.

3. When putting a contact in the Assign List, the list will not open.

4. When deleting a contact, the Delete button does not respond.

Draft

5. When trying to edit an email, putting the cursor on a word, to edit or highlite it, the
page liteally jumps either down to the bottom or up to the top. The cursor will not stay where it is placed.

6. When the cursor is at the end of line (a sentence) then click the Enter key on the  keyboard to get to the next line, when it moves down a space, the text above disappears. The only way to make it re-appear is to go back up to the same line, by hitting the Back
key on the keyboard.

7. When sending an email in draft, 2 of the same are sent instead of just one email.

Inbox or Another Folder

8. When checking the box next to an email, to delete that email or move it to another folder, the check mark will not go away if you want to uncheck it because you changed
your mind, no matter how many times you try. You must go into another folder, then go back to the original folder. Only then is the email unchecked.

Size of Each Email

9. You can no longer see the size of each email. In the new version the size of the
email is no longer displayed, leaving Yahoo email users in the dark about how large their emails are, especially when attachments are used. It was a very bad decision to take
away that feature.

Yesterday I was working for InTown Suites (Ripoff Report 1076605) and today I'm working at Lexus of Orange Park (Ripoff Report 1076844).

Do you STILL think I work for Yahoo? Did you follow my recommendation and switch to an email client? Works great for only $20 a year doesn't it?

"Anyone who uses Yahoo's web-based email is a cheapskate lowlife."

That's your interpretation. I never wrote that.

"You just trashed your employer, your employer's product and your employer's customer base."

Which employer? I clearly have so many. Look, today I work for Safe Security in San Ramon, California.

You just admitted you're a career troll, but that is soon to be over.

You told me to spend $20 a year to alleviate my email problems.

When making that suggestion you became rattled and concured with me, the person you're being paid to disagree with that:

Yahoo's new email version doesn't work and can't be fixed;

The only resolution was to spend money for an email client;

Yahoo's free service is not that good;

Anyone who uses Yahoo's web-based email is a cheapskate lowlife.

Boy, some troll. I wouldn't hire you. You just trashed your employer, your employer's product and your employer's customer base.

Find a new career and quit embarrassing yourself.

Have a nice weekend!

"No normal person would get this testy about my email client problems"

You are not using an email client; you are using web-based email. I recommended that you change to an email client program.

"You are obviously a troll, paid by Yahoo"

There it is... The you must work for them accusation. If you were to read other posts on this site you would see that I also work for several auto dealers, finance companies, computer manufacturers, eBay, two shipping companies and one wireless provider. Six months ago I worked for a firearms dealer in San Diego (Ripoff Report 1006559) and seven months ago I was the police chief in Montgomery, Alabama (Ripoff Report 982045).

Last week I worked for a camera dealer in Orlando (Ripoff Report 1064988).

Hey look, Last month I worked at Foreman Motors in Melbourne, Florida (Ripoff Report 1059701).

Check out Ripoff Report 1065755 to see how absolutely sure some guy thinks I'm Sonia Perez at Comerica Bank as recently as two days ago.

This guy thought I was someone that sold him a car on eBay but he was nice enough to withdraw the accusation (1064307).

I have so many jobs that I need to build a new shelf just to hold all my hats.

I did answer you regarding what I paid -- I think I used the word FREE 12x --

Hone (sharpen) your comprehension skills -- An inferior product is being "Forced" on all of Yahoo's customers, not we are forced to remain their customers ---

I use Yahoo because it is free --- you make it sound like a negative behavior --

it was a very positive experience until they "Forced"  (there's that word again) an inferior product on all of their FREE customers.

Paying $20 a year will not resolve the problems from the new email version, since it is beta.

Beta is beta, whether you pay or not --- it makes no difference.  Beta acts the same. It does not distinguish between paying customers and FREE customers.

You are obviously a troll, paid by Yahoo to defend their unethical behavior. No normal person would get this testy about my email client problems, since millions are experiencing the same problems and intend to close their Yahoo email accounts, or my comments about Yahoo's business practices. I'm quite sure the people closing their Yahoo email accounts would also agree with me.

Like I said before, you're embarrassing yourself.

My paying nothing, ever, is the Golden Apple for Yahoo!

In 1995 the founders of Yahoo decided they could much make more money offering

FREE service than they could even if they only charged .99 a year!

They dangled a very nice carrot to the public (meaning, they wanted everyone to use their service for FREE) ---  in return --- follow me now ---

they would give their customers a great product --- FOR FREE!!! allowing them to generate billions of dollars.

And for years this company/customer relationship worked very well.

Yahoo made tons of money, their customers were happy they were making tons of money off of all of us using their services FOR FREE!!!  ---

and why were we all so very happy for Yahoo's success? --- stay with me---

Because they continued to offer the best product on the market, better than all the other (FREE) email services available!!

Are you following this?  I'll recap for you.

Yahoo planned, wanted, as many people as they could possibly entice, to use their service FOR FREE!

In return, they would continue to offer the best product.

WHY?  Because all of their FREE customers would enable them to make billions of good old American dollars -- which they did.  A great idea if you believe in capitalism, which I am very fond of.

A FREE customer/company relationship for the best product available ---

was not only understood by both Yahoo and all of their FREE customers,

but incorporated into Yahoo's bylaws.

(Bylaws are what is agreed to, and voted on, by Board members of all corporations, and LLCs, both profit and non-profit)

BUT --- Yahoo has blatantly broken that bond of trust. After all these years, it is indeed
a sad state of affairs for this, what is now, a hapless company.

It seems Yahoo could care less. They have all the money in the world, much more than they know what to do with.

So, all of us FREE customers, who helped them make their billions, can now go fly the proverbial kite.

If you still wish to cling stubbornly to the notion that I should bend over and be glad Yahoo is sticking it to me, because I got to use their FREE service for 11 years, after they made billions off of me, and their other millions of email customers, well, I have nothing more to say to you, except, you're starting to embarrass yourself.

You refused to answer the question because the answer is zero dollars.

"they have forced me and millions of other customers they make billions of dollars off of each year, to use a product that simply doesn't work"

You were not forced to use their service. You chose to use their service because it's free.

"You are very unintelligent"

I'm intelligent enough to know that Yahoo Mail can be accessed by an email client program for $20 a year. That would eliminate all of the problems that you described.

Money?

Yahoo is a multi-billion dollar a year company. They generate those enormous sums because they use their customer base.  From the millions of Yahoo users, such as myself for 11 years, and others like me, they are able to have hundreds of advertisers and to utilize many different ways to generate even more money.

Here are a few of the ways Yahoo makes money because they have an enormous customer base:

PPC Advertising Networks

CPM Advertising Networks

Direct Banner Advertising

Affiliate Marketing

Monetization Widgets

RSS Feed Ads

Marketplaces

Paid Surveys and Polls

In-text Adverting

Pop-ups and Pop-unders

Audio Ads

They are also listed on the stock exchange (YHOO) which nets millions of dollars for them annually. They are able to sell their common stock because of the millions of customers who use their services.

They sell other products and services.

They have many highly educated and seasoned people as Board members and on their Management team. These people make 6 to 7 figures annually (including corporate bonuses).

Yahoo hires people to work for them. They are able to pay all of these people, because of the millions of customers, like myself, who have stayed with them and have trusted them to continue to market good products.

But that trust has been broken ever since they have forced me and millions of other customers they make billions of dollars off of each year, to use a product that simply doesn't work, and the worst part, they knew it before they incorporated it as part of their email service. That's the sad part of this story.

Yahoo has not only committed fraud by insisting their millions of customers use a product that doesn't work, these same customers who trused Yahoo while Yahoo continues to make billions of dollars off of them, Yahoo is also a very hypocritical company.

The first page of their own bylaws reads as follows:

Let’s make sure we continue to Win with Integrity!

Yahoo has lost all integrity and credibility with me and I'm sure I won't be out of place speaking for the millions of Yahoo email users who have been abandoned by Yahoo. Many are closing their email accounts because they can't use the new version.

Who do all of us Yahoo customers blame?
