Airsplat was a name I had only found through  the Web.  A group of my son's friends played airsoft and one of them had gotten an airsplat gun.  I got one for my son in lieu of my better judgment to get one at the local sporting goods store.

After getting the M89 (?), I took it out of the box myself, a 40 year old adult, read the sparse instructions that didn't even apply to the gun I bought, charged it for 3-4 hours and tried to fire it.  Nothing.  Not a sound, not a whimper.  I then emailed airsplat as the existence of a good customer service number is missing, unless they have since due to my complaints made it more accessible.  After 5-6 email where I explained the following, *been fired 5 rounds before it quit working *not making a sound *defective and want to return for my money, I get three different ignoramuses, none of which acted like they really wanted to help me and the one manager I got, again only via email, said to send it back and they would look at it.

Part of the issue with this gun is that the fuses burned out.  Like, right after I apparently took it out of the box? Like, before firing it, according to airsplat. Now, I personally want to buy a gun and have it work, not know how to rebuild it when it doesn't after spending $129 on an airsoft gun.

I sent it back and about two weeks later got the gun back.  Now I had put the goggles, bullets, everything back in the box neatly.  I got a letter that they had "fixed" it, and that I could not get refund because it "was not like new."  They kept my goggles and didn't return them, nor did I receive the bullets back.

"Was not in new condition."  Let me tell you, I have never had such an experience as a consumer.  All I had to do if I had bought a gun from a local retailer was to return it within so many days with a receipt and no questions would be asked.  Airsplat after me "being able" to fire their gun about 5 rounds concluded that it was "not like new" and so I could not get the money I had paid for this gun back.  What an insult.

These guys treated me, a 40 year old adult and not some kid, like I was suspect all along during the attempt at a return or fix-it process.  I am stuck at this point with a $129 gun that doesn't work, has never worked, and they treat me like crap.

That friend of my son's with an airsplat gun, low and behold his doesn't work either.   bought my son an Aftermath and it works like a champ.  The Airsplat gun was high maintenance.  The Aftermath is a dream, and you can return it to your local retailer if it has issues when you pull it out of the box. Please don't buy an Airsplat product. Even if the guns worked, and they don't from my experience (0 for 2), their customer service sucks.

Got the gun back from airsplat and it again fired 5 times and quit working "again."  This gun is either defective or it is overtly high maintenance.  It won't work.  So in addition to being insulted like I am some teenager who used it on a weekend and wanted to get my money back in a return of the product, I have to deal with customer service people who really acted like they could care less regarding my business, UPS cost to send it back for my "refund" and then I find once they send it back in "working order" missing both goggles and bullets that came with it to begin with that it still doesn't work.  I have a $129 door stop basically thanks to airsplat.  Do not buy from this company.  They have a BBB logo on their site.  It is all a show.  Waste of time and money on airsplat.
