I have been harassed by a member of their staff. I have received threats and insults by Megan from the Pennsylvania office. She Called me on January 2, 2008, and immediately started bugging me about a past due bill, on an credit account I never opened front Citi-bank. She told me to give her my mother's checking account information. when I refused she asked it I had a life insurance policy or IRA that I could cash in. Again I refused. She became hostel and said that I needed to retain a layer and that I could go to jail for theft. She said I should file for bankruptcy. She went on to verbally berate me and when I became angry she hung up on me then called back and continued the harassment. I told her I was only working part time right now and asked for a billing statement to send in a payment. She damaned $4000 immediately or she would have my wages garnished and my tax returns taken from me.

She called me today, January 3, and once again berated me and demanded money. She said I was going to pay for my refusal, demanded that i appolagize to here for getting mad then hung up on me.

Help me! I don't have the card (and never did) they are calling about. I have been the victim of identity theft.

I have had my rights violated by Megan among them are:

I was denied a prompt response to my inquiries.

I was denied access to your management team whenever necessary.

I was not treated in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.

1 ONLINE ADVANTAGE

I AGREE THAT ALL DISPUTES SHOULD BE DONE BY MAIL. WHEN IT COMES TO CREDIT ISSUES, THE BIGGER THE PAPER TRAIL, THE BETTER. THE ONE ADVANTAGE TO ONLINE(IF AVAILABLE)IS ALL 3 REPORTING AGENCIES OFFER A REMINDER SERVICE THAT EMAILS YOU WHEN ITS BEEN A YEAR SINCE YOU LAST FACTA DISCLOSURE. ANOTHER ADVANTAGE IS THAT YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE REPORT FOR 30DAYS, JUST IN CASE A PAPER COPY GETS LOST. IF YOU DO IT ONLINE, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR SECURITY SOFTWARE IS UPDATED! ONE FINAL NOTE, LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE INQUIRY SECTION, AT LEAST THE ONES THAT MATTER, TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO SUSPICIOUS COMPANIES LOOKING AT YOUR REPORT AS THAT COULD INDICATE ID THEFT.

Actually it is better to CALL each credit bureau directly to get your FREE annual credit reports. There is no legal requirement to go to annualcreditreport.com to do so. What about the people who do not have access to the internet? Think about it. And, you give up some rights of dispute when you use the online forum, if you read the fine print you agree to when you click "submit". Never do an online dispute, as you have no tangible proof that you made the dispute if it actually has to go to court. Do EACH disputed item separately, and send by certified mail, return reciept requested. Put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records. This will prove exactly what you sent.

Who is the original creditor? Could it be yours? Is it possibly the company changed names do to a sell or transfer or buyout?
