Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I read an advertisment in the local paper i obtained information about forclosed homes and proporties. I was told that a $1.95 fee was taken out up front. I was also given information to cancel my membership within the 30 trial period. Just days later i cancelled my membership, or so I thought. I even called this number twice to make sure it was cancelled, and they told me both times it was cancelled. Without thinking about it i went on with my business. Then about a month later i seen on my bank account history two fees (debt) of $19.80 each and i didnt give authorization to take out these fees!!!! Don't let this happen to you!!

You represent your company, and this is how you speak to your customers? I have worked in customer services and trained my employees on ways to gain customer satisfaction - that is by choosing your words to help defuse the situation and come to a resolution when a matter is escalated. You have made the above customer out to be stupid and idiotic and this is unacceptable. Your company did exactly the same thing to myself, accept I have some charge from a third company called Home Source and at this moment I have no idea how many more. But making this customer out to be stupid and a liar is not professional and if you were in my team you would most certainly be sent down for more training. Learn empathy and put yourself in the customers position and see how you would feel when you have been ripped off which is EXACLTY what has happened to this customer and myself. I know how it works, i read small print and I listen very carefully to the agents that whizz through transcripts and i question them before i will be satisfied that there are no catches. The fact that the above customer doesn't even know what they companies were should portray to you that your agent didn't do a very good job of verifying if the customer understood, and had any questions instead of just asking them to verify the last four digits of their card. Junk mail? if you think that customers are seeing these mailing as junk mail then don't you see that as a problem? the customer is being tricked into paying for something he/she does not want and that certainly does not make you a very reputable firm as YOU are the ones that are passing out these details illegaly. if you feel or know that the customer is not listening to what you are saying on the phone you don't just go ahead and abuse their trust in you. So if you are not interested in customer satisfaction and complaint resolution maybe it is you that should be looking for another job.

When you called Bargain Network, you signed up for the Bargain Network program, which was 1.95 up front for the free 30 day trial. You also signed up for Easy Saver and American Leisure, and you did authorize them, you probably just don't remember. Easy Saver and American Leisure have different numbers to call if you want to cancel them. They are separate than the Bargain Network number you called to cancel. And you did definitely cancel Bargain Network, or else you would have gotten a charge of 39.80. So, here is the breakdown: Bargain Network - $1.95 for 30 days - $39.80/mo afterward Easy Saver - Free for 30 days - $19.80/mo afterward American Leisure - Free for 30 days - $19.80/mo afterward It's possible you were signed up for Easy Saver and American Leisure without your consent, which we do not allow employees to do, and if anyone was caught doing that they would be fired. But honestly, the most likely situation is that you forgot that you had signed up for Easy Saver and American Leisure, since when customers call us, they are just calling about the Bargain Network program, and ES/AL are extra unrelated programs we offer when we finish signing them up for the Bargain Network program. Also, we do not give out the cancellation numbers for ES/AL unless a customer specifically asks for them, since they are in the membership materials we send out. (You probably just threw them away when you got them, since if you didn't recognize the program names, you probably thought they were just junk mail.)
