Barnett and Associates - Entirely Debt Free "debt elimination" service is a worthless, fraudulent scam. BEWARE! ripoff Woodinville Washington
Last year I signed up for a "debt elimination" program through Barnett Associates. The company they sent my info to was "Entirely Debt Free". I was conned into this by a "Christian" businessman named David Hage. Through discussions with him and his co-hort Kyle Swinney, I sent $3750 for their "expedited" program.
Here are the sorry results:
My Citibank debt went to court and I got a judgement against me and a lien against my home (despite the fact that Mr. Hage assured me these cases never get to court because the program is so fabulous). Mr. Swinney apologized for this, and promised me that they would put me in their "judgement nullification" program. Never happened.
My Wells Fargo debt also went to court, and the Wells Fargo attorney bulldozed right through the "defense" supplied by EDF. I barely escaped another judgement and lien by negotiating a settlement with Wells Fargo.
My MBNA debt went to arbitration, which I lost despite EDF's assurance that I would prevail. The case was referred to a local attorney for prosecution, and once again I settled to avoid the possibility of losing my home.
Entirely Debt Free sent me useless, ineffective documents, most of which were not even admissable in court. At times they totally ignored the paperwork from the opposing side, which left me totally without defense at critical times. They promised judgement nullification, confirmation of arbitration wins in
my favor, etc., and none of these ever materialized.
Despite complaint letters, faxes and emails to Barnett and Associates, DAvid Hage, Kyle Swinney and Entirely Debt Free, I have not had one reply and certainly no refund.
I lost $3750, a year of my time, my credit rating, and actually increased my debt significantly by "biting" on this fraud. My advice to all readers is STAY AWAY from any "debt elimination" outfits. Trust me, the credit card attorneys laugh at this stuff and roll right through it. You will find yourself in court
without a defense and you will regret even getting involved, believe me!!

Eric, I would strongly encourage you to file complaints against this company and the people involved. Also you might want to check you spelling on "Barnett" I say this because Kyle Swinney and Entirely Debt Free have been associated with Greg Barrett and Nick Rozell of Capital Resource Group in other complaints. Here are two other complaints: http://badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff95133.htm http://badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff125791.htm The agencies you should be filing complaints with are your State Attorney General along with the Washington State Attorney General, Better Business Bureau's in both states, the Federal Trade Commission, the US Department of Justice and the FBI Fraud Division. All of these can be filed onlin through their web sites. The more people who file complaints to these agencies the better, as they can start building a case against these people. Don't feel you are alone in this, there are hundreds if not thousands of people who have been scammed by this group, I happen to be one of them. If you know of anyone else that has been a victim of this encourage them to speak out and file complaints of their own.
