I have a checking account with BB&T branch bank here in statesville NC.I have had the accont almost a year and few minor problems, nothing that was not my fault! But!! In the last 30 to 40 days, every time i check I'm in the hole for NSF charges. I have some charges that I caused and have no problem paying the charges even though there rediculious!!!! MY complant is from 5/22/2002 until 7/8/2002 they have basically took $1630.07 of my money, not counting picking up returned checks. All the information I got is from online banking report!!!This is there report and so how can they still manage to take a months of my income!!!! My automobile is about to reperested because I'm behind on payments and on the edge of being evicted from my home!! If this issue is not resovled in very timly manner, I will make contact with every news organization and consult with an attorney and sue for damages that will far exceed the amount they owe me.If they make it right and return all of my money I will drop the whole issue!!!! 7/8/2002

Debbie, your arrogance and ignorance comes through clear as a bell. This seems to be a distinct pattern with BB&T employees. One thing I've found out for sure, no questions asked! BB&T not only won't admit to mistakes made by their employees! But BB&T is reluctant and usually doesn't replace money stolen from an account in the form of NSF fees even when the cause of the error is one or many of the so called FINE emmployees residing at BB&T. BB&T is famous for blaming the customer. Maybe if Debbie either knew what she was talking about when she group what seems like any and all who dare make critial remarks about BB&T! Remember Debbie, there have been more than a few major corporations fall because of lowlife company CEO's and Presidents! It might be wise for you to consider the fact that BB&T isn't exactly doing things according to the law!

I am no stranger to dealing with, or trying to deal with BB&T and there practices! Nor am I a stranger in dealing with the arrogance and the stupidity of BB&T employees. First of all, not even when you prove the problem is BB&T's fault will they ever admit they were wrong! This type of Sociopathic behavior is rampant in the banking business. Nothing is ever the banks fault. It is always the customers fault. File a complaint with the FDIC! File a complaint with the FTC. Contact your State banking authority and file a complaint with them. Contact one of the consumer reporters in your area and tell them. BB&T is no stranger to complaints about their practices. And their responses are the same and in a court of law, won't hold up. It'll be fun when BB&T eats their words in court and more than they want is exposed!

I'm far from IGNORANT.... LOSER "R"

In the first place "R"... use your real name and stop calling people ignorant... I know my job and I know how deadbeats are. You are probably one of those people that I deal with day in and day out that screw up and expect the bank to pay for their mistakes. Grow up and get a life.... stop trying to tell me how to do my job and I certainly will not form low opinions of you. At this point, you are just another nameless, faceless person that complains about your own mistakes and wants the world to be responsible for it.

The rebuttal from this Employee is the exact type of ignorant response I have come to expect from this establishment

As a user of Navy Federal Credit Union, I have never experienced the poor customer service BB&T has until I married and she used them. The rebuttal from this Employee is the exact type of ignorant response I have come to expect from this establishment, just accusations without solution.. My wife has perfect credit as do I and this bank is continually trying to ruin it. We couldn't even successfully pay off the account without them tacking fees on out of no where after the account was supposedly closed and payed off and turned it over to collection even thought repeated calls to the bank stated a zero balance. Still getting nightly calls from a collection agency on this account that doesn't exist.

It's not our fault if you can't balance a checkbook

I am an employee with BB&T in South Carolina, this is the same garbage I hear day in and day out. People write checks or use their ATM/DEBIT cards when they do not have money to cover their purchases. If you play, you pay.... STOP using your ignorance as a crutch and take responsibility for your own actions.
