I have read more than 15 postings on this website regarding problems with Business Office Systems & Solutions (BOSS). I have 3 experiences with this company to share... maybe this will help someone resolve their issues with BOSS.

My parents, my wife and I all had long distance phone service with Voicenet up to the time they went bankrupt in April 2001. We had ALWAYS paid our bills on time and had EXCELLENT credit!

We lost our long distance and NEVER heard from this company again. NO final bill... NO communication. The trouble with BOSS started about 3 months ago when they called to inform me that they had filed a "bad debt collection notice" for $10.65 with the three major credit agencies (Experian, Trans-Union & Equifax). This screwed up my excellent credit and I've been fighting to resolve this problem for months!

I NEVER received ANY written Voicenet invoices, BOSS statements and/or verbal notice that I was "in collection". This is fradulent business practice! I called the company and spoke to numerous people... Lucy, Chris & Olga (a supervisor). I sent faxes and re-sent the same faxes because they stated nothing was received. I have printed proof that my faxes were sent properly each time!

BOSS was NEVER able to send me (via fax or mail) a Voicenet bill or a BOSS collection statement (after repeated requests). I've had to spend tons of time and my money to fight this improper bad debt filing with Experian, Trans-Union and Equifax!

During this same time period, my elderly parents were harassed with numerous calls and collection letters for $17.30. Numerous calls and faxes to Olga (supervisor) finally produced a written Voicenet bill and BOSS collection statement. I paid the $17.30 (including interest) but they did NOT resolve the bad debt collection notice they had filed with the three credit bureaus. YIKES!

Finally, my wife started receiving phone calls from BOSS regarding a $8.13 Voicenet balance due (new client is Mapnad Viatel Cons.). Once again, I left numerous voicemail messages at BOSS, talked to several staff at BOSS and sent multiple faxes to BOSS (which they said they never received - sound familar?). This has been going on for over one month.

Sorry for this long story... this has been a very frustrating mess. I believe (and pray) that this whole situation has finally been resolved as of Friday 9/23/05. I called and left a voicemail message for the owners of the company (Pam & Dan Becker). Pam Becker called me back (truly a miracle) and we worked on the phone to resolve the credit collection issues and to confirm the status of BOSS acounts for my parents, my wife and myself. She stated that everything would be handled properly and resolved to our satisfaction. Time will tell...

I believe the ONLY way to get anything done is to call BOSS and speak with Pam or Dan Becker. These owners NEED to know your frustration and that you are serious about filing reports with the Attorney General's office in your home state, the Attorney General's office in the State of Texas and the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C.

I wish everyone good luck in getting their situation with BOSS resolved BEFORE their credit is ruined. Once you have been reported to the 3 major credit bureaus... it's an uphill battle to restore your good credit and it takes a long time!
