I purchased the carport from Bargain Barns USA (a vender for Carolina Carports). The contractors were to be at my house at 10am at noon I called and was told they had a flat. They arrived at 3pm and I said I hated that they had a flat and their response was "what flat". Lie # 1.

They unloaded the parts for the building and then said they brought the wrong frame rails. I told them to return Friday on my next day off. The contracter said he could cut and weld the frame and it would be ok because he had a lot of work and couldn't go back to North Carolina and come back. So, not to inconvience the crew I agreed. I had taken the day off to be there with them and had to go to work the next day. They said the building would be up by the time I got home.

Poof.......I get home the next day and the building is up !! ALL WRONG !!!!! The building was OFF the slab. They broke the slab so anchors wouldn't fit so they just drove rebar through the frame on the concrete. It was after hours and knowing it would take weeks to get repaired I removed the "anchors" and worked all night by myself to get the building square on the slab and anchored correctly.

They install crap and never call to see if you're happy with their product or work. It took them weeks to finally call and ask for money and still never asked about their work. By this time the areas where the frame was cut, repaired and welded had started to rust and rust was forming on the outside the building at the screw holes. During the phone call I explained the problems and they said they would send a "crew" out but it may be weeks. They called the crew and the crew said I told them it was ok to drive rebar in instead of concrete anchors. Lie #2. I explained that I wasn't waiting and I had repaired their bad workmanship and I would like a $600 discount. I was told they would call me back.

Weeks later they called and said I violated their contract and there would be no discount. They reviewed photos of the building off the slab, the rusty frame and the rust on the out side the building and said I moved the building and they weren't going to do anything other than paint the rusty spots on the frame. I explained that paint was not galvanizing that I ordered.

It has been 6 months and the only thing I have received from Carolina Carports is a copy of the contract with line number 7 circled and telling me I'm the problem.

Soooooo, here I am with a crappy building and the contractor telling me to deal with and send them their money !!!!!
