Disney Movie Reward Disney I agree, Total Rip-Off...Killed Happiness of Children
I DO ALSO agree that Disney Movie Rewards is a rip-off...All my points were wiped out as expired in Novemeber/December of 2015 due to new changes that I never recieved or were updated with.
In June of 2015 I recieved an email that my points were going to expire and for me to just log in to keep my points active for another 6 months, in which I did. In doing so, I thought I was set for another 6 months. My birthday came in January which I was given 50 birthday points, which I logged in to redeem, but in doing so, I find out that all my points had expired the previous months.
I called thier Customer Service, they told me that an email was sent out informing of all the changes, I checked, found nothing, looked into my spam, nothing there either..all was junk mail informing me of new deals with the Movie Club and so forth. Asked to speak to a supervisor, who told me that since the new changes, expired points can't be reversed, ask to talk to Penny who is the higher up but apparently she has no time for customer concerns...did get a brief email from her though without considering my situation that only said what I was already told. Had to call back to Customer Service, to get the same response. I am now waiting one week to hear back but they personally said I should receive a response within 72 hours or on their site saying within 3 days. Called again today only to get the same response and to have it notated in my account that I have reached out.
We started the rewards back in 2008 when my older kids were younger, and now with my youngest who is two and another one on the way, we were hoping to continue with the program but apparently, they don't want us to do so. We have spent hundreds of money on Disney Movies to gain these rewards only to find out that all points have expired without any prior notification or decent amount of time of notice given for our action to keep our points active. I am upset with Disney as our account was not closed but only our points expired. They claim to make our day "MAGICAL" but they've detroyed any magoc that there is to thier movies or the thoughts in little children. How can they claim such a thing but destroy it at the same time? All I can say is they claim to make our lives magical by making movies, creating amusement parks, as well as charcter dolls and toys, to please the world...and they have recieved all the support from the world, but only to be ripped off by customers and hard-working families paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars for these movies, rides, amusement park packages, dolls, and toys, and they can't even reverse 2000+points which can only be redeemed for one out of date movie? We were saving these points for something bigger...but apparently our dreams with the disney world has been torned. Thank you Disney for doing so. Hope you are satisfied with your actions!!!!
