First National Bank Government Grant ripoff hundreds of complaints on this site! Charlotte North Carolina
A gentleman called asking for my husband on the evening of 4/13/05. He also spoke very poor English, I had ask three times what he wanted. He told me he qualified for a federal grant.
I asked why they were calling us and he said to give us money to help pay bills. We have an unlisted number and are on the national do not call list. I was sarcastic and he asked if I had been cheated before. He told me I was hiding something.
I then handed the phone to my husband. He asked for the gentelmans name and phone number. He said his name was Jonathan and the number was 1-800-410-1683. My husband then asked to speak to the manager and he informed him was the manager.
He asked my husband if he had ever been cheated. My husband replied with Yeah, probably a time or two. He said then he wasn't going to cheat him again and hung up.
When we called the 800 number right back the recording said they were closed.
I don't see how these people sleep at night, knowing what they are doing is wrong. Luckily we know about these things and didn't give any information out.
