I went to Furniture South to purchase some furniture and started to smell the hustle from the moment I walked through the door. My salesperson Brad Holweger started our relationship by telling us how cheap the furniture at one of his competitor's, Ashley's Furniture was. He said he knew that the furniture was poorly made because he used to work for the company. That raised a red flag for us because a quality product does not need to put down a competitor.

To fast forward to the end I ordered a kitchen table set and Brad promised that I would get it within 4 to 6 weeks. When I asked him if I would be able to set the delivery time, he said yes. It took 14 weeks to get the table, I missed several days of work because the driver's claimed they got lost and my walls were destroyed getting the furniture into the house and I couldn't cancel because they would keep the 1/3 I put down.

I ended up going to Ashley's Furniture right after and bought some furniture - it arrived the thursday after I bought it. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from Furniture land south.

When this client came into my store she informed  me that she intended on making purchases from Ashley. I told her that a firm I was a salesperson at in the past handled their product as their "low end, providing  a good starter price for folks just beginning to purchase furniture. 

The client informed of her desire for a quality table and chairs with the ability to chose color and style and wood type, so she purchased a set to be custom manufactured in Canada.

WHen we receive a custom order, normally in 6 to 8 weeks, ( not in 4) in our warehouse, and then we schedule it for delivery. From time to time there are delays   at the factory which  for one reason or another was the case here. I apologize to Ashley Furniture as I have noticed the quality has improved since they have opened their own retail stores

I can understand the disappointment with a delay in obtaining purchases, but when you special order and can order the finish and color even the type of wood you desire, I am sure that the wait for your own unique piece of furniture is far superior than  buying off a sales floor, or from warehouse stocked furniture. As for the delivery issues.. There are careless delivery people with every company. 

I am sure if this customer spoke to my company in more of a reasonable manor, our company surely would have compensated this client for their bad experience with this delivery

I have literally Hundreds of clients that have had wonderful experiences with purchases from our company, keeping in mind that a special order is just that. This furniture will be manufactured just for YOU, and not sitting in a box just shipped from China sitting in a warehouse, just for anybody!!
