Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I worked for the General Manager of HRR Services, also known as Houston Repair and Remodeling, and it was one of the worst jobs I've had. Mr. Warwick, the GM, has some serious anger issues and is one of the most infuriating human beings I have ever met. My job within his company was that of an Administrative Assistant and Personal Assistant. I would run errands for him, take invoices, order and pick up supplies, etc. Mr. Warwick blamed me for things out of my control on a number of occasionals, and would often not inform his employees about something, only to scream and yell when it wasn't done. For example, I made fliers for his business and sent him the final draft on Friday, which he ok'd for me to send to the printer. On Monday, he decided it was not good enough and had me fix some things, no big deal. I resent it to the printers and was told it would be available the next week rather than that Friday. Mr. Warwick refused to understand that if he had not had me go back and change his flier, they would have been done on Friday rather than the next week.

After roughly 6 weeks, Mr. Warwick and I decided that I was not a good fit for the company. Dealing with depression and anxiety myself, Mr. Warwick did nothing but make it worse. When I left that day, I thought we were ok and that Mr. Warwick would give me my paycheck that Friday as promised. Fast forward 2 months, I finally received my last paycheck. He would constantly give me excuses as to why he couldn't get it to me such as forgot his check book, was busy, brought the wrong check book, or just not responding to me. After a couple weeks of no replies, he tells me he is not giving me my check because the wifi i set up for his office was shut off. I tried to explain to him multiple times, that if he canceled the work card that he gave me, then the wifi company has nothing to take a payment from, and that was why it was canceled. He refused to believe that is what happened until I think he just got tired of me.

I'm not sure if he knows, but with holding a paycheck from a former employee is actually illegal. I could have easily sued him or contacted the many websites his business is on, but I decided not to. After all of this was said and done, I had had enough and decided to make sure he can't screw over any one else.

As for his work, I don't have much to go on. I do not know much about being a contractor, but it wasn't common for his projects to take much longer than intended. I frequently had customers complain that they could not get a hold of him and that he would not show up on days promised.
