Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
i survivied quintuple bypass. i exercise faithfully every day and have done so for over fourteen (14) years. I bought a Healthrider RC270 exercise cycle from icon health and fitness. i paid almost twice as much on 02/06/02 than it is selling for today.

when i received the bike i put it together right away and started using it. it had mechanical problems from the first day. now after only one (1) month it is totally inoperable. the company has been notified and they say they'll ship the parts asap. however it's been three/four weeks now and they still haven't. i can't exercise, although my health requires i do so, until they fix the bike (at least not on it).

now they are saying they have find a vender to make the part for the bike that they manufacture million's of. i told them of my medical problems and my compulsive need to exercise but they don't seem to care.

i've told them if they can't supply the part refund my money so i can buy another bike and get on with my exercises. they completely ignore me. they fail to answer most of my inquiries and when they do its only to tell me the same thing; the parts are being shipped soon. in the meantime, i have a totally inoperable piece of equipment. but, as the company seems to know all to well, it's completely paid for.

i've filed complaints with the a.g.'s office of both washington and utah states.

Daniel

I'm sorry Daniel has experienced so many difficulties. Icon Health and Fitness always honors their committments--unfortunately, they may not always be the most timely. This is especially the case with products where we have difficulty locating parts. I researched Daniel's case. It looks like the following happened: Purchased: HREX0421 EB,HEALTHRIDER RC270 on 2/6/02. We shipped the product within 5 days (on 2/11/02). He found a lower price and asked for a credit. We reduced the price $100.00 (on 2/26/02). I have absolutely no notes of Daniel calling in with a problem. I do not doubt him, though because of the note I see in the system on 5/9/02, which states: 05.09.02 received letter from Attny. General of WA. Customer filed complaint because CS took too long to receive his parts. His complaint states that one part is on back order because they do not have it made. Went to CS and got copy of their notes. They said that the Axle has already been shipped to the customer and the Pully will be shipping on 5/23. will reply and explain. Talked to Scott and he said that we can let the customer do an exchange if needed....jt In short, we resolved the issue. I don't know how timely we were simply because I have no record when the complaint was issued. We will always try our best to be honest and fair with the customer.
