Internet Treasure Chest Deceptive company tried to back charge for webhosting! Internet
Back in May of 2000 I fell for the Internet Treasure Chest scam and actually ordered the package! I went thru all the steps to set up my website and found out that there were a lot of hidden charges not specified in the infommercial!
I immeadiately sent the package back and did receive my $60 refund! I thought everything was fine!
Today 16 October, 2002 I received an email from them saying that I owed them $175 for back web site hosting and that my credit card had been declined after numerous attempts to bill it!
Luckily for me I had used a check card to charge it to and the card had been lost so I cancelled it.
I have called these people and it took me 4 times to get to a number of the people that supposedly can take care of this for me! The number I was given is always busy and the other people are quite nasty and have told me that there is no way that I will be able to receive a credit because I didnt follow the proper steps to close the web hosting.
To date they have not gotten a dime from me but I feel that they will put a bad mark on my credit!!!!
