Complaint Review: Karl Jacobsen Coastal Vacations CD - Reston Virginia

Karl Jacobsen is one of the finest gentlemen I have ever met. The world is a better place because of people like Karl. I went to a seminar that Karl put on recently and I was totaly amazed at the quality of his seminar - it was fantastic to say the least. Karl puts the end consumer first and takes great pleasure in seeing them have a higher quality of life because they joined Coastal. His second priority seems to be in helping other Directors become successful. Karl invited me to his seminar even though I was not a member of his group and he had nothing to gain by helping me and training me - he gave me excellent training, gave me a nice (and expensive) gift for attending, treated me to a great lunch and offered to take me out for dinner along with his other friends and directors. Karl is one of the finest gentlemen I have ever met. He is one of the rare people who gives 100% of himself to help others. I consider Karl a good friend. Never have any reservations about dealing with Karl, he is totaly honest and above board in all his dealings - you will be a better person once you have associated with Karl. I have an improved outlook on life after spending only one day with Karl. I just cannot say enough nice things about Karl - I consider myself exremely lucky to have met someone of his stature. There were several directors at his training seminar, yet he treated me as if I was part of his family. Work with Karl, you'll never find anybody more helpful.

Tracy this is not a game. It's a matter of honesty, ethics, morals, and compassion for other human beings. I kind of thought you might be along to retract the thunder so to speak of the tone in your previous post. It's ok and I understand why you would want to do it. If Karl has worked with you and you are making money then more power to you. Sense the theme of these posts are about the CD Karl is selling and the Coastal policies in violation, you really can't comment as you said on such since now you admit you don't own the CD. I appreciate you admitting as much. So you are saying now that you came into Coastal for free? Hmmm... interesting. I absolutely refuse to take part in an online argument and have no desire to play the "He-Said, She-Said" game. At no time in my post did I condemn OR condone what Karl Jacobsen is doing. I do not own the Coastal Vacations CD and therefore cannot comment on it or it's contents. I merely wanted others to know that my own dealings with Karl Jacobsen have been positive. He's always made himself available and has been very supportive in helping me launch my career with Coastal. I have not paid him anything nor have I been compensated by him. These are just my own personal opinions and experiences thus far with Karl Jacobsen. I still feel that there is some sort of motive behind all of this. (maybe from both parties) I personally don't know. But I do know that Britt has a dozen or more complaints on this site against him and that he condemns Karl for things that he does himself. After reading the negative BBB Report on Britt, speaking with other directors, reading the numerous complaints against him on this forum AND others, and NOT being offered one single piece of proof for any of his claims....I decided that he was not somone I wanted to do business with. It was my OWN business choice. I posted above what I had uncovered about Britt Phillips. HOWEVER,It's obviously clear to me (after being able to post so effortlessly in this forum) that anyone can post anything without having to prove your statements to anyone. So in essence, no one here really has any credibility. So, I would like to reiterate by suggesting to anyone looking to get involved with Coastal Vacations to do their homework. Talk to several directors to find the one that YOU are comfortable with. Do not let directors who are oblivious to what is right or honorable deter you from an awesome opportunity with Coastal Vacations. Coastal is an awesome program and it has some of the greatest people in the world in it. However, I am not the only one who feels the way I do about what Karl is doing. He is wrong and he knows it. Apparently you have fallen under his spell and I guess that is because he also has you signed up in some of his other programs. Be that as it may, the reality of this situation is that Coastal will survive, it always has. Karl may come and go but Coastal will always be around. I (and many other directors) feel that what Karl is doing cheapens the program for everyone. Karl does not care about this. He is only motivated by money. This of course is the opposite of his words... but as they say actions speak louder than words. Tracy if you are havihg great success with Coastal and you are following the policies then God bless you and I wish you continued success. I really mean that in every sincere way. I truly feel there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy great life changing success with Coastal. There is a fair and ethical way to do the business and what Karl is doing is anyting but fair and ethical. I create my own virtual covers and threw up a site to make one for others who may want one. I do not agressively market it and might do one or two covers for a client in a month at only $30 bucks a pop. Hardly anything like the dozen programs Karl is actively involved in. And I would never even think of taking $4,000. for a CD and then not even have the sense to put a label on it! It's insane. Karl must really be greedy if he can't even spring for a .10 label. I find it very sad that Brit Phillips would display such a lack of professionalism in a public forum to better his business while trying to discredit someone else's. Not only does this look very unprofessional and childish, but he has also created a situation that has others now questioning the validity of the Coastal Vacations opportunity in itself. I looked into Coastal Vacations for almost a year and spoke with 17 different directors BEFORE deciding to join Karl Jacobsen's Team. His excitement about Coastal was contagious. He had an awesome training program and incredible marketing techniques that work! I made it very clear to all the Directors I spoke to that I was "shopping" directors before getting involved. NOT ONE director had anything negative to say about Karl Jacobsen. On the other hand, all 17 had something negative to say about Britt Phillips and his unprofessional practices, which he has now clearly displayed. I offer the following only to show that it is apparent that Britt Phillips has motives behind his slander of Karl Jacobsen. It is also very sad that someone would have the audacity to bring himself to this level after making this claim on one of his sites..., "I'm a God fearing christian man who loves the Lord with all my heart. I try and treat people fairly and sometimes go out of my way to work with them even after they've clearly stepped over the line." (I would also like to point out that any God fearing Christian would not feel it necessary to BRAG or try to impress you with all the material things they claim to have aquired just to get you to join their team) Britt Phillips is infamous for the "I-bought-a-half-million- dollar-home story" Here are some facts about Britt Phillips: Lie Number One "I work one program and one program ONLY" I know for a fact that Coastal Vacations is NOT the only program Britt Phillips works or endorses. Karl Jacobsen is VERY active with Coastal and has NOT been banned or removed. Anyone can call Coastal to find that out. This is a good one: "Karl was selling this CD which is against the Coastal Vacations company policies..." Looks like Britt does the same thing. How about this one: "a press release claiming to hold the event with a headline that would hopefully tug on the emotions of the general public who had just witnessed the devistaing disaster on CNN of Tsunami." Seems like Britt is guilty of tugging on the emotions of others by "claiming" a portion of his proceeds goes directly to Feed the Children and the 700 Club. It is obviously clear the Britt Phillips has some sort of motive for his attacks on Karl Jacobsen. What he neglects to tell you is that he was once worked closely with Karl Jacobsen. I welcome you to do a search on Britt Phillips. There are an endless number of negative comments about him and his company on the web. I would like to end on this note: Coastal Vacations is an awesome opportunity to own a very profitable home based business. Speak with several directors before getting involved and do your homework. I am very pleased with the support, help and generosity that I have received from Karl Jacobsen and his team. I have absolutely NO regrets. It's unfortunate that I had to come here to see that there are grown men in this world who feel it necessary to belittle others with false claims just to make themselves look or feel better. Britt, if you're so successful, you wouldn't be worried about what Karl Jacobsen is doing. It appears to me that you feel threatened by his success and wish to bring negativity to his team to hopefully build your own. Karl the world is a very big place and there is plenty of room for honest, ethical, fair competition. Your problem unfortunately is that you aren't being fair, ethical, or honest. And the very worst part of it all is that you knowingly continue to engage in your acts of deception. As for calls... I get numerous calls from people AFTER they have fallen for your $4,000. CD and can not get you on the phone. And when they do your reply is always the same... "I'm not interested in holding people's hand". Karl if you aren't going to help people then simply STOP LYING to them to take their money!!! Tell them right up front you have absolutely no intention of making yourself available at any point or time after they send you their money. There is NOTHING fabricated about you and I can very easily prove everything to anyone who would like to contact me. And for the record Karl, my number works and unlike you, I actually answer my phone to help people. If you would like to call me you know my number. I already know you will not answer the pointed questions I have for you so I figure there is no point in wasting my breath to ask them. You are not invincible as one of your "good friends" recently described you as thinking you are. Why do you think he has stopped associating with you. Karl what you do is sell people a worthless CD for $4,000. and you are to cheap to even put a label on it. You write on it with magic marker. You tell people you are only working the Coastal Vacations program and that you will be there for them when they call. However the reality and the truth is that AFTER you get their money they discover you are in a dozen programs (including one where you claim they can send you $12.25 and get back 1.2 MILLION in 12 months) and they have to block their number just to get you to pick up the phone if you even do then! And by the way Karl, I see in your long reply you failed to answer any questions regarding the seminar you claimed to be donating 10% to the Tsunami relief fund. What happened there?

These allegations are not based on reality but rather were created out of a competitive urge to discredit me. Numerous individuals have read these spurious remarks and asked, "Why is Britt Phillips so venomous towards a fellow member of Coastal?!" Although he has fabricated extensive negative publicity about me in a public forum, Britt Phillips lacks the courage to contact me directly. I've sold hundreds of Coastal packages over the years and continue as a Level II Director in excellent standing. The Coastal Vacations fulfillment center has never declined any of the numerous orders they get every month from my organization. I am on a first name basis with AL, the founder of Coastal vacations and he and I have met on numerous occasions at live events to conduct Coastal business. 1) I am NOT "banned" from Coastal The fabrication I've been banned is perhaps the most blatant form of competition that Britt Phillips employs. Although Britt Phillips is clearly possessed by a very domineering and territorial personality, his claim that I've been banned is clearly a weak attempt to undermine a competitor. It's a figment of his imagination that he can "ban" fellow directors from Coastal and anyone who believes him is falling prey to deception. 2) My Release Forms are Perfectly VALID Claiming that the fulfillment center is no longer honoring my order forms is another of Britt Phillips' deceptions. My new members are receiving their packages every day. I'VE NEVER HAD A PACKAGE REFUSED DELIVERY OR A CASHIER'S CHECK RETURNED FROM COASTAL. It is my responsibility to market the packages, Coastal fulfillment center's responsibility to ship them out so that they are within the guidelines set by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Commerce. 3) I am in full COMPLIANCE with Coastal Policy a) Send cashier's check with a release/order form signed by sponsor; b) Retail package is drop shipped to new customer; c) When a new member satisfies their obligation to their sponsor; d) New member qualifies as a director and receives signed release; e) New director now places orders directly from the shipping center. Some directors fax the signed release forms while others email portable digital attachments of said forms. I choose to put signed release forms on a CD which are sent to my new directors once they qualify. I release my new members when I am satisfied that they have fulfilled their obligation to me. Karl this is an open letter to ask you to please start communicating with the people you take money from. Every week I get numerous calls from people who have paid you $4,000. for your "Coastal Vacations CD". Every single one of them says the exact same thing when they call... "Before I sent Karl Jacobsen the money I could get him on the phone, AFTER he got my money he refuses to return my calls, emails etc." Karl why do all of these people say the same thing about you? And while I'm at it... why do you not send these people the vacation package they are entitled to and have a right to receive? The calls of late have also been from people who see your claim of donating 10% to the Tsunami relief fund from your February seminar however when they call you about exactly when and where the seminar will be, you say..."it's been narrowed down between two locations and we haven't picked one yet." And of course you also say... "you must already be in Coastal to attend the seminar." which of course sounds awfully like a scam to me. You first claimed the seminar would be a three day event. Then you recanted that one and said it was two days. Then you recanted that and said it would be a single day event. Then you added attendees must already be in the program to attend. Karl are you even having a seminar at all and if you are then why not post the exact date(s), time(s), location etc. so that people know it is real? How much sense does it make to advertise you are having a seminar and yet refuse to give the location of where it is going to be held? It really raises a lot of valid questions that so far you aren't answering. Why aren't you answering these questions? I've narrowed it down to a few possibilities... 1) You do NOT plan to have a seminanr and never did. If this oneis true then Karl you are one lost soul for sure. 2) You had planned to hold an event but learned there are people watching you that you would rather not show up at one of your live events and challenge you on how you are doing what you are and warn others about it. 3) You are trying to bow out quietly now and still figure out some spin to put on this whole thing that will leave you in the clear and without looking like a scammer. I'd be very interested to see which of the three pans out to be the truth. I'd also really like you to publicaly respond as to when and where your seminar will be held the first part of February as advertised. I personally know of some very interested and offcial people who would like to attend it. Your lack of response to this will send a very clear message to all who read these words.
