First. I am not affiliated with the phone repair market by any means. I am a consumer with a succesful career in consulting, and legal counsel.
Laiphone repair Melrose is one of several shop thaT include the name laiphone repair. I state this because they are not affiliated with each other and are piggybacking off of the original LAIPHONE Repair shop. It is not my objective to bash but after my encounter here it is clear there is concern.
After replaicng my wifes iphone 6 screen with a far lesser replacement that appeared to be from a different device, we accepted this as well as the bait and switch tactic used to close his sale. Fine.
Three days later the entire phone basically fell apart. I bought it back. AFter suggesting yet another fee to replace what had become worse he finally agreed to get it back to how it was when we brought it in.
Got the phone back and my wife noticed that their had been some navigating throughout her device that seemed a bit uneccessary. Then what do you know, Eric had obtained access to the device to make it appear that my wife made a very pleaseant YELP review for himself......Ill be damned.
He went on to say that bascially the phone was unfixable. He decided to give it one more shot... still at a fee. I figured they would complete what they started and be extra kind due to the unethical behaviour.
I picked up the phone, it worked and decided to go to the mall. In doing so i passed a very tiny store that said LAIPhoneRepair.com I stopped in to check it out and get a case. I hand the phone to the gentleman and he states without even ever seeing me brfore. " So everything is working oK?" Proceeded to use my pin upen the phone and show me how to preserve the longevity of the phone. He was completely unaware that I had never been their before.
He said it was an easy fix and no worries this one was on him.
Would u believe this Eric guy who used my wifes phone, switched the price on me and charged me twice got the phone working by his non-affiliatd competitors shop. Wholy snap.
Neither one of them even know about any of this.
True story.
