Complaint Review: Laurie Debauw - Portland Oregon

I hired Laurie for a complex investigation.  Not only did she get the results that I wanted, she was able to aquire additional information that was critical to the investigation. I have tried several PI companies in the past with mixed results, and I have to say that Laurie was able to obtain the best results by far. I will continue to use Laurie and would highly recommend her for your investigative needs.

I am a private investigator in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and was hired by a local law firm to locate a hard-to-find witness in Portland, Oregon. I retained the services of Laurie Debauw to do this and to serve this person with a subpoena.

Laurie was able to locate the witness because of her intuitions as a PI and then serve him the subpoena for deposition.

Laurie was highly professional and carried out the task promptly. I would recommend her to anyone needing private investigative and process service work in the Portland area.


 

Madam,
In reading your position on the situation, I believe you are unfairly attacking Ms Debauw.  I can understand your displeasure in the matter, but you are forgetting an important point.  She was HIRED to perform the surveillance duties.

In your own words you say that you reported her to the police and they did nothing.  That certainly is an indication that she did nothing wrong in the performance of her duties.  That is unless you content the police are somehow conspiring against you as well.  The facts just don't add up.

I have known Ms Debauw in a variety of capacities for many years. She is organized, efficient, extremely competent, and has an excellent rapport with people.  I have found her to be professional and reliable in all my dealings with her.

I highly recommend Ms Debauw for any assignment that requires commitment, professionalism, and integrity.

And when they get a taste of what it is like to be stalked by someone they can't do anything about...then maybe they will reconsider their actions of hiring a P.I. in the first place. Ma Ma always said....."If you can't do the murder yourself, then don't do it" ! If you have to hire someone to do it, then it shouldn't be done....

I have retained the services of Ms. Debauw on several occasions for business-related and personal reasons. It has been my experience that Ms. debauw was prompt, courteous and displayed nothing but the utmost in professionalism.

Ms. Debauw has a true "knack" for seeking information and has been successful in delivering results, with every single case and in a timely manner. I was treated fairly and and was always kept up-to-date with regards to the status of my cases. It is my personal opinion that the intial complaint filed against her was biased. With the "subject" of said investigation, insisting on being a "victim". The body of the report itself, displays instabilty and predjudice as well as indications of fallacy.

These forums are protected by federal law, however they are not edited or fact-checked by reliable sources. Anyone can post, even the "subjects" of these investigations, who in most cases, are clearly jaded. I will retain Ms. debauw for any and all future inquiries. A true professional.

Here is a book you may want to buy that will assist you in dealing with "Private Investigators" who have been hired to "stalk" you. We had a unfamiliar situation happen to our family from 1997 to 2004ish. Here is the title of the book and the author's information.

Like you, the core motion to stalk our family was a very large sum of money left  to us by my grandparents. The hiring stalker was an attorney in Opelousas Louisiana. He was part of a banking syndicate that had been investigated and over taken by the F.D.I.C. in 1992. Turned out that some of the "attorneys" for the bank, had been embezzling Trust Funds from the accounts of account holders who were mentality disabled. In our case, off the top one bank attorney stole $50,000, then his chronnie's took the rest, plus the 24 years of interest earned on the original $100,000.00 (one hundred thousand dollars deposited), plus they sold any and all Real Estate they could, and the proceeds "disappeared". Like you, we lived in a small town  that is corrupt, and has a corrupt police dept Gresham Oregon. Like you, all this attorney had to do, is "call" the local police dept and make up an outrageous story on why my family was being "investigated" Our 911 calls went unanswered too. Or, they responded, but they didn't do anything. 

Here is a list of what my family learn and experienced. 

Your phone is being taped if: You are using a portable hands free telephone, speaker phones, blue tooth. Or, if your enemies start showing up in places "ahead of you"; this is a sure sign your phone is tapped. 

Make 4 right hand turns (or 4 left hand turns) in a row, while driving and see who is following you. Stalkers for hire (that is what we call them) will drive the same 4 turns you do. We started driving very slow, and guess what, they can't follow you so good. They rely on higher M.P.H. to hide behind other cars etc. Real drivers will pass a slow driver every time, but not a P.I. stalker. 


GPS tracking devices. They only work for awhile, because they are battery operated. So, if you can park your car in the garage every time your home, and if out, run it though one of those drive through car washes randomly. This equipment gets expensive to replace by the Stalker for hire. 

They will go to your landlord,  co-workers, neighbors, friends, clerks at businesses your frequent and tell tales about you to incorporate them into notifying, calling, alerting your movement back to the P.I. They will also dig people out of your past and attempt to have them suddenly 'show up' in your life again. Any ex's show up suddenly at the store, doctors office, etc. ? 

If there is enough of a profit in it for the P.I. then at some point, they will steer the people who hired them to attempt to make you a criminal. When you turn the tables on the stalkers for hire, expect them to try to put a Stalking Order/Restraining Order out on you. 


At some point, the people who hired the P.I. and the P.I. will engage in opening stalking you, harassing you, in order to get you to engage in some kind of action. They will create multiple negative  incidents to rattle you. Killing your dog was one of them. 

P.I. always put dogs out of the way when they can. Dogs bark, dogs bite, usually the let them out of the yard, or worst poisoned meat over the fence. This may one of the first things they do to you. 

They also want you to sound crazy to discredit you to others. You are not crazy, just victimized by people with licenses to stalk, and someone with enough money to pay for it. So, hold your head up, and start looking at the people around you. Become aware of your surroundings and maybe start reading improve your memory books. 

P.I.'s are rather lazy. They are small people, who couldn't cut it in real law enforcement, so they get a license to operate, and then play 007. They often use their own personal cars, their only disguises are switching hats, glasses and coats. 

Here is one method we used to disarm the P.I. Stalker. When we were followed in the stores, we would call the store from our cell phone, and then speak to customer service, and tell them they have a shop-lifter in isle #, wearing, etc. Store security would be all over the P.I. and we'd just laugh and leave. 

Also, Zig Zag your shopping both inside stores and from business to business on your trips. Yes, it takes a little more gas, but shows them up.

I have been a licensed Private Investigator for over 30 years.  During that time, I have known investigators who should have had Ripoff Reports files against them.  However, Laurie is not one of them.

Laurie is a consummate professional in this field.  I have relied on her services on may occasions over the past years and found her expertise and demeanor to be exemplary.  She has represented my company with many clients as an ultimate professional.

I can say nothing but good things about Laurie.  Her work ethic is beyond reproach.  I am proud to know her and extremely happy that I have her and her company as an additional asset to my investigation firm.

I have read the complaint against Laurie.  Any level headed person who reads it can see that Laurie is not really at the center of this persons issues.  A forum like this serves to benefit many.  However, it is unfortunate that Laurie's good name and reputation has been smeared here.  Anyone reading the complaint and the rebuttals can clearly see that these allegations against Laurie are without merit.

I have recently hired Laurie Debauw of Girl Friday investigations. She was very accommodating of my time constraints and needs of my specific case. She was able to obtain information as I requested, when I requested it and was very helpful in offering other suggestions to assist with the case.

She kept me very well informed of the work she was doing and sent me updates as the case proceeded. Ms. Debauw was able to testify for my case and her findings seemed to carry much weight with both counsel and the preciding Judge.
