Life Adoption Services, Inc. Adoption Agency puts American family in a Locked Up Abroad situation in Russia, and fails to assist its clients on returning home Tustin California
This so-called international adoption agency is fast to take your money, and fast to make promises, but could careless in assisting its clients in when in trouble in a foreign country. Life Adoption services claims to be a non-profit corporation, yet I ended up paying nearly three times more than the contract rate to adopt a child. The coordinators in Russia, charge what they want, change the prices at will, take your money, fail to give you a receipt, and then tell you to prove that you actually paid them. I traveled to Russia 3 times. On my 2nd trip after my court hearing the Russian coordinator refused to take me to the airport to go home without explaination. (other than to charge me for an extra day of fees). I reported this to Life Adoption, who did nothing but claim they have no control over employees in foreign countries. My 3rd trip on getting my child, my passport was taken away from me, along with my child's, just long enough to try to extort thousands of dollars out of me, and to make me miss my flight home in a season where there is is a limited number of flights in and out of the region in a week. Again, Life Adoption refused to help and told me that it was my problem. This is a very unscrupulous agency and should not be allowed to be in business. Reports have been filed with US Embassy in several Russian agencies. Potential parents beware!! Do not put yourself through this agony. They will bleed you dry with fees and leave you to fend for yourself. They cannot tell the truth. I intend on filing legal action against them along with several other families.
