Mann-Bracken LLC ignored cease and desist until validation Atlanta Georgia
I received a collection notice from mann-bracken for an account I never heard of. The name the account is in is not how I apply for accounts. I sent a cease and desist letter until they could validate the account. They responded with a notice of arbitration if I do not contact them. Now I had to spend another bunch of money, which I have very little of anyway, to send a second cease and desist, plus a letter to NAF refusing arbitration until the account was validated.
I have also filed a report with the BBB of Atlanta, the FTC and I have sent all copies of the arbitration notice and the original letterto attorney generals of my state and Ga, the GA state Bar, the american collectors assoc and on and on. These people have even made a payment on a account I have no knowledge of to make it look like the account was active. They did not acquire the debt from a credit card company.
They purchased the debt from another collector that I sent the I had gotten from the original creditor to. I sent them a form they have to fill out to validate the debt. I also sent the same form to the original creditor to check and see if things add up. I will sue them for violations of the Fair Debt Collections practices Act if they do not stop. Cannot garnish my wages in nc, cannot freeze my bank account as they do not have the info and I will close it if they get it
