Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
When I first got the email explaining that they were not going to publish the book I purchased because of the economy, and they were closing their doors, I though, too bad for everbody. My company loses $600 but they're going out of business. "no-one to blame" The US economy being so bad at the moment, I actually bought the excuse.

I googled their name and found a couple of complaints about this company with similar circumstances to mine. These complaints were on this website. "Ripoff Report". One of the complaints was in 2007 ! How could they have gone bankrupt last year and then again this year??

My story

Dec 15 2007- rec'd phone call from sales lady. She mentioned that she would like to interview me for a publication "Treasures of Manitoba" that is coming out in the summer of 2008. She mentioned that there was NO COST for being in the publication. of course, I agreed.

Dec 20/2007- She came to interview me, spent 2 hours of my time. I then found out that the only way that it will be NO COST is when I sell the books that they are giving me when the book is published. The cost was $600. (ok, I should have kicked her out right then and there, I know.)

Fall 2008- after many phone calls for clarification as to the arrival date of the book, I received a email from the sales lady. She mentioned that the book wil not be published because of the economy in the US and Morgan & Chase will be closing it's doors. She mentioned that she is out alot of money as well.

After reading other complaints, it looks like this is not the first time Morgan & Chase has done this.

Erick, I do hope you do your research better, in any case, Morgan & Chase Publishing did not file for bankruptcy twice. Around mid-late '07 was when business began to severely decline, as was the entire US economy but they/we struggled until September 2008. While I won't disagree with many of the ripoff reports that Damon Neal (owner, self-titled Publisher) was running the unethical fence when it came to ways he invented to try and keep the business afloat, the Treasure book series and the idea behind them were not malicious in the least. Also, I can't fault you for feeling cheated, I hope to maybe assure you that the intent was not to scam.
