Complaint Review: Mules And Moore Jack Moore - Internet Internet

Reader and previous report filers on Mules and Moore-Jack Moore.  I first want to say I'm sorry for your monetary losses.  If you purchased livestock I guarantee such livestock is happier and healthier in your care than Jack Moores.   It is true he 'Zaps' your money very quickly and if there are any questions/concerns regarding the purchase he becomes 'Not Available' or 'Out of Town' or will never return your messages. 

Jack Moore is a con-artist and treats the livestock on his premises terribly.  When I entered into the idea of purchasing three draft horses from him to include various tack and a saddle he answered  the phone all of the time.  I requested photographs of the horses I was buying.  I was aware that two horses were only halter broke, but the Belgian horse was fully trained for riding and pulling.  I did purchase these horses unseen.  I felt the photos were very nice and reliable.  There was even a photo of an employee on the Belgian  to 'Prove' to me the Belgain is trained for riding.

On the date of 3/17/07 my son was sceduled to pick up the horses, saddle and various tack at the location of Jack Moore.  Mr.Moore demanded I pay for the horses and tack prior to picking up the the horses.  I made it very clear to him that I would not due that, but would show good business respect by providing my son a cashiers check at the time of receiving the livestock and tack.

My son was devestated when he arrived at Mr. Moores location.  He phoned me immediately and said, "Mom, are you sure this is the place and guy you've been doing business with? All of the animals here look like they are in a concentration camp.  Malnurished and very bony.  I have resevations about this, Mom.  The only thing that looks nice is his house, but everything else looks very frightening."

Mr. Moore introduced himself to my son and his wife and brought the horses to the trailer to include the saddle and tack.  My son compared photographs to the horses and loaded up the horses.  Mr. Moore was provided the cashiers check. 

I live in California, but my farm is in Missouri.  My son took the horses to my farm.  After a couple of days we were fully aware that the Belgian was not trained for riding as she kept bucking off the rider.  I visited my farm and rode the Belgian and I was bucked off.  I blamed myself because Jack told me she was fully trained for riding and pulling.  I soon took the Belgian in for training.  The trainer informed me the horse is not trained and the saddle has a bad 'tree'.  The two combined caused all of the bucking.  I'm suprised you're alive.  I paid to have the Belgian trained.  I did want Jack to make good on the saddle.  I mailed the saddle back to him and he still has not made good on the saddle.  He has told me there is nothing wrong with the saddle.  I told him two professionals verified the tree is broke thus causing tremedous discomfort to the horse.  To this day Jack Moore still has my saddle, does not return my calls, will not refund $499.00 for the saddle that I purchased from him, and will not return the saddle.

I gave Jack Moore a total of $8900.00 for horses and tack.  I've spent $7000.00 in training all three horses.  $2500.00 of that $7000.00 was for the Belgian that Jack Moore claimed was trained.

I have learned, when buying livestock (horses), go and see and ride then decide.  That's my foundation of future purchases.  Jack Moore will feel the discomforts of all the bad seed he has sewn.  We the people are voiceing our monetary trageties that were never to be felt by us.  We are voiceing that a dishonest business man must be put out of business to protect the people of further tragety.  I hope the animal's rights activists pay Jack a visit...a non-sceduled visit to see the misfortunate treatment and surroundings of the livestock.
