Ocwen has ruined my life now!

I found out I had an ARM in December of 2007. I started their loan modifacation process at the end of Febuary.

In April I sent them my deposit to show my agreement with the plan and sent in the loan agreement with the check. I called them to confirm it was received after the check cleared my bank. They said yes. That was on May 2nd.

Now its june and it still is not done.

I called Monday June 2nd and they told me that the agreement was not received and that becasue of that the modification is now VOID. and then hung up the phone I had to call back and then the modifcation dept was experianceing high call volume and I would have to leave a message and someone would call me back. It had been 6 hours to find this out by the time someone could talk to me. After I had been on hold and then disconnected on. I did however have someone count how many times I called since May 2nd. It was 16 times. I asked them to read word for word what was in the notes on May 2nd. Of course it was me called to make sure everything was received.

Well then Tuesday of course I never received a call back and so I tried to call again. I talked to a supervisor and they said it was not received either. I had him read May 2nd notes and he said that they callled me to notify me that the loan agreement was not received.

They are lieing to me and changing their stories. I dont know what to do. I am trying to contact lawyers and get help. It is soo expensive though. Any comment or words of advice would be very helpful

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

As a former employee of Ocwen, I must say that I feel sorry for many of the borrowers whose loans are serviced by Ocwen. Ocwen outsorces much of their loss mitigation as well as underwriting to 2 large offices in India. I worked in the Loss Mitigation department and was told countless times each day by borrowers, "I am so glad I got to speak with you, it was so easy to unddrstand you and I feel that you understood me as well." I must say the I really understood where these borrowers were coming from but was unable to express any empathy for their plight as all of our calls were monitored for "Quality Assurance" by our counterparts in India!! Most of the QA reports givn the agents in India wer 90 to 100%, imagine????////### The majority of borrwers will have numerous conversations with the offices in India as they try to modify their loans. As an employee of Ocwen, there were numerous occaisons that I needed to speak to the HELP desk in India to resolve computer issues. It was sometimes next to impossible to understand what the HELP desk was saying!! I can't imagine trying to explain complex mortgage payment issues to these agents!! Ocwen outsourced these positions to India to save on wages; however my attitude has been and always will be is you get what you pay for! My advice to borrowers is to try to call between 8am and 7pm EST so that you have a better chance of speaking to someone in the US that can truely understand what you are telling them. Another issue with Ocwen is their cashiering department. More times that I can count there were modification plans that had been paid as agreed, but the plans had been shut down for "non-performance". The reason was that cashiering was not corrctly applying the plans to the modifcation ( forebearance module) in the Ocwen system properly. Thus the FINAL MODIFICATION papers were never completed, resulting in collection letters, collection calls and more fees!!!! In order for a plan to considered valid, one needs to send in faxed copies of modification agreement WITH a copy of drivers license BEFORE sending your downpayment. It takes Ocwen 24 hours to post any faxes received to the system. So call back 24 hours after you fax. Multitudes of people would call and say that they had faxed documents in only to find that Ocwen says they never received them. One suggestion is to ask for the agents managers efax number or email and send directly to their manager.... Not that Management is overly fond of helping out borrowers..seems managers are too busy doing reports. I must say that the managers seemed to be as frustrated as I was with all the constant errors made to the borrowers accounts; though the more we tried to correct the issues the more frustrated we all would get as corrections were so very difficult to get done! PS Shortsales are close to impossible unless you happen to get lucky and connect with a US agent who knows what they are doing and gives a d**n. Most agents were unfamiliar on how to proceed with shortsales and just passed the buck!

Ocwen Cannot be Trusted

#3Consumer Comment

Ocwen is powered by CORPORATE GREED and cannot be trusted. They continue to mislead homeowners and their dirty deeds need to be exposed. Go to loansafe.org and see is the helpful advisors can give you some ideas on how to fight Ocwen back. Loansafe website is an invaluable source of information so the homeowner can learn his rights and become educated on all of the mortgage scams and fraud. The loansafe moderators can advise you how to proceed with Ocwen on a loan modification. They are not lawyers but can also advise you if you need legal counsel. I suggest you act right away as Ocwen moves quickly on the homeowner to foreclose if they can. Educate yourself on your rights and this is the most powerful part of fighting Ocwen. Also filing complaints with HUD and the FTC is important to exposing them. I am a victim of their scams and fraud and they cannot be trusted at all. A QWR is also a very good request to be sent to Ocwen so that your mortgage can be reviewed for any legal violations. Good luck and know that you are not alone in this fight.
