Office Max advertised Lexus Jump Drives with a $10. rebate. No mention was made of any limits.

I needed 1 for me and 1 to give to a coworker. I bought 2. The clerk advised getting 2 sales slips so I did.

I followed all published rules. And submitted my rebates, one for me and one for the coworker (with me as the rebate recipient).

Two months later I got notice that one of my rebate applications couldn't be honored because only 1 per family was permitted.

I approached Office Max about this. I learned from the manager that the caution of one per customer was at the bottom of the rebate notice on the sales slip.

How in the world is one supposed to know that until after he/she has made the purchase. I think this is just another way rebates are rip offs. I am very angry at the deception.

Rebates are ALWAYS only one per household.

If you try to get two rebates at one address you will ALWAYS get a deny on one of them. You do NOT have to know in advance of purchasing that you need to have the rebates sent to two different addresses. The rebate form states only one, so it stands to reason that you'll have to use a second address. Next time, read the rebate form for instructions and exclusions before you fill it out and send it in. If you had done that, you wouldn't have had one denied.
