I was involved with PFS from 2000 to 2003. Initially all that I wanted to do was to earn enough income to quit working a part time job.
Essentially I was required to produce six complimentary reports for my friends in order to recoup my start-up fee. These appointments were supposed to set up on my behalf by my trainer, who would call up people on my prospect list.
Other people had no trouble getting their feet into their friends' houses. But my "friends" were not interested.
I was not aware that I had two months to drop out and get refunded. If I had known that, I would have done so.
Instead, I kept going to fast start schools and retreats in an effort to learn other ways to get my foot into the houses of my friends with my trainer and earn back my start-up fee. It was a waste of time and money!
In the end, I relinquished my state life insurance license and dropped out. I was angry that my "friends" weren't willing to help me out. I was made to feel that it's my fault, not theirs.
I don't know what happened. I was thinking that my "friends" would be conducive to letting me come to their houses with my trainer, because I was representing Primerica, part of Citigroup. My father was angry at me for spending money.
