Hey.. I just purchased this $480 caique.
Also the guy said I will have 5 days life-warranty for it.
But the bird died 2 days after we got the birds.
The bird was sneezing which seemed like the bird had fever since we picked him up from the airport.
So we called him and asked what to do, and he was just like keep him warm and it will be alright. We kept him warm and the bird died.
So I called him back and the guy is saying No he never mentioned about life warranty.
He was thinking I was lying but also told him I have video clip of it I can send you right now and I sent.
And right after this Indian guy was being so rude and starting to cursing me out.
Also pleased him about my situation that I recently got into car accident at june 17th.
I'm getting treatment in the hospital by insurance coverage which means I CAN NOT WORK for a while also said if you think I'm lying I can give you the policy number call the NY Geico and ask.
I purchased this bird for my grandma's 70th bday present.
So I told him her bday is coming up real soon it might be just $480 to spend for food or etc. but for me its the only way to get my grandma pleasure.
That was why I was hurry about it. and the guy is like thats your problem you can talk to lawyer or whatever.
Theres nothing I can do. He hung up on me after and never would pick up my calls.
And he emailed my saying if I call him again He will going to sue me for keep calling him.. It wasnt even about the money.
I asked him to replace it since I had 5 days life warranty.
sigh.. I have all the procedure of sending him money order and all the receipt from Air port/Post Office And the Videos of the sick bird died. Right AFTER 2 days I picked him up from airport. What can I do about this.. please help me.

YOUR purchase of an unweaned baby caique from florida was the mistake you made reguardless of the "waranty". Soon as any bird or any animal is placed in a cold germ environment "the PLANE" in a crate the animal is bound to get sick especially these days.
A friend of mine just shipped in a cat of 8 months old. Got pneumonia and had to end up paying for all the vet bills. WAS IT WORTH IT .. NO the best is to do local take a drive to a breeder they are many all around.
when you want to be cheap you have to pay twice for the pet and the vet !! Some claim they know how to handfeed then the next thing they call you to say the bird is dead. But you know what they have no idea what they are doing. you have to see it to believe it.
It is just geting out of hand with people just out there for money sometimes. Some selling birds at 10 days old CRAZY !!! The breeder also should not sell the baby at such tender age it will be best to wait at least when it has some feathers but I suggest that unweaned babies should never be shipped .
Also if you cannot afford a Parrot etc.. then you cannot afford the vet bills which is sometime more than the bird itself !!
Please stop the fighting the fault is on both parties.
