Simmons Smith & associates Mrs. Gandy Rip off artist Internet, Florida
Got a phone call from a Mrs. Gandy saying that I borrowed 500.00 dollars 2 months ago and have not paid it back and that it had been turned over to her and the Simmons Smith & associates collection agency, she wanted to know if I could go ahead and pay it now & they would wave the interest fees, now I knew that this did not pertain to me so I requested a document that stated the company and when I was to have borrowed the money.
She sent me trough an email a document that stated 750.00 dollars that was deposited into my bank account & that she wanted a copy of my bank statements for the last 6 months ( 1st red light ) after we talked I called back the # that she called from & it checked out, I replied to email & it checked out, so like a dummy I faxed her a few statements that showed there had not been any 500.00 dollar deposits sent to my account, I get alot of scam mail and phishing mail but this one seemed real. In the end I had to close my account and open a new one, buy more checks, go to all my creditors and update me info. Turned out to be a big hassle. Do Not Fall for this.
