On November 13, 2013, I purchased a 3G/4G Mobil Broadband 6GB plan with a modem from the store located at 80 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena, California. When I brought the modem to my home in San Gabriel, California, it did not work properly.

On November 23, 2013, I called customer service and they said that there was nothing wrong with my connection and recommended that I return the modem.

On November 23, 2013, I  went to the Pasadena store and had my modem tested by the engineer. He said that Sprint did not provide broadband service in my neighborhood in San Gabriel, California.  He said that there would not be service in my neighborhood for at least six months. I was very disappointed to hear that Sprint sold me a broadband plan that did not work at my home.

On November 24, 2013, I returned to the Pasadena store to return my modem and Caitlan G. told me that Sprint was going to charge me a return fee of $35. When I asked to speak with the manager, she offered a full refund. Store manager Chris Deetz informed me that I would be charged for service from November 13 – November 14, even though the service never worked properly. He said that I needed to wait to receive an adjusted bill and that the bill I received on November 16,  for $102.40 would be reduced.

On December 16, 2013, I received a bill in the amount of $72.84 with a $5.00 late payment. The late payment is insulting as it took Sprint too long to submit a final billing statement to me. When I called the customer service representatives to dispute this bill, they said that I had to pay the bill for the time the service was active, even though it never worked. When I asked them for the name and contact information for a district manager or someone in the corporate office, they referred me to a phone number for directory assistance that was useless.

As has been stated many times about Sprint, I cannot get names or contact information for any regional managers or coporate contacts. Sprint needs to know that their sales people misrepresent their services and products. It is obvious that they do not have faith in their services and products because they make it impossible to contact anyone outside of the store. Now I'm out $72.84 in addition to the $12 I spent on parking.
