On 12-23-2003, I bought a Pontiac Montana Van from Taylor Chrysler jeep. It had 53229 miles on it. The day I picked up the vehicle, it overheated. I brought it back same day, and they added the coolant to the vehicle. I went on a four hour trip, and Van overheated. I added coolant. It did not overheat, but started to loose power. I brought it back to Taylor Jeep. They diagnosed it as intake manifold leaking. They replaced the gasket. After, I picked up the vehicle, I got the oil change done elsewhere. Slight clicking noise started to sound from engine. The vehicle had now over three thousand miles on it since I purchased it.

By the time clicking noise started to become a nuasance, I had another oil change done. Now, the noise really became louder. The family mechanic told me that it was lifter noise. Now van needs lifter work or an engine.

I contacted the dealership manager Mr. Sanford. He tried to tell me that now I had about 6 thousand miles on it, and its been 6 months ago, that I had bought the vehicle, so you are out of luck.

Mr. Sanford tried to show me a paper that I had declined to buy an extended warranty from them, at the time of purchase. In fact, they were more forceful to pressure me into buying coverage for Tires, and Fabric for a $1000.00. Extended warranty was not discussed. Neither did I sign any papers where, I declared that I was offered such a thing and I declined buying it.

Vehicle has now 59700 miles on it and I am stuck with $2000-$3000 for engine replacement bill.

Mr. Sanford walked me out of dealership assuring me that there is no chance that he or his organization will pay for engine.
