Washington Mutual sent papers for simple forebearance to wrong address, then closed file when I was disabled for 6 months, ripoff Milwaukie Wisconsin
i dislocated my shoulder, had it repaired, had to take 6 months off work, called WAMU to let them know i would have no income, asked if they would add payments to back end of mortgage. they said they would, said they would send paperwork out confirming this. sent to wrong address.
when i called re: paperwork, they said case was closed because they had not received paper work in time. asked what address they sent it to so they could discover their error. they sent paperwork again with a deadline of 10 days from the date of letter. letter took 5 days to arrive with request for massive amounts of info. sent info, was again told case was closed because of time limit. foreclosure was then started.
I contacted my senator. suddenly case is re-opened, but with request for the documents i had already sent twice. my monthly payment suddenly jumps from $7000 to $10,000 retroactively if I want to cure default. i had sold my ira to bring acccount current. suddenly amount to bring current doubles in a week.
